  • We're hitting the Nashville, Tennessee thrift stores and having a blast at the vintage shops along Charlotte Pike in the Music City! Come along with us to some Unique Thrift Stores and a couple of cool, weird places where antique misfits are up for grabs at prices that make us happy!
A friend joins us to explore, and we discover why Southern Thrifting is fun in this bohemian west Nashville strip, where Elvis greets you at the door and a scale tells you your horoscope! There's Nixon hats, designer orbs and a shade of red on a pair of dancers we can't find anywhere else.
Cool Things and Weird Stuff live at their namesake store, and we find the old stuff priced better than the new! A few good finds spur us on to Misfits of Vintage, a fun new shop where we find some really interesting pottery that makes our day.
There's surprising bargains throughout this journey, and we wrap up with a haul video to show everything we found, what we paid and what we expect to get for it. Thrifting and vintage shopping are fun and profitable!
Here's some more of what we see on the way:
Lane furniture, Levi's 1970s belt, Ma Bell belt buckle, 1960s candy scale, reclaimed wood cabinet, WWI catalog pages, Stangl pheasant and hen, Hall ball jug, copper 1950s horse lamp, Syroco Wood pipe stand, 1910s chieftain jug and tray, 1950s Shell gas station pencil and stand, L.A. Potteries parmesan shaker, Copco roaster, Henckels knife blocks, 1960s Skytone dinnerware, Corelle Cornflower Blue, Pfaltzgraff dinnerware, Hyalyn frog, Haeger red dancers, butterfly pins, tube tester, Disney Dumbo figure, 1930s Oyster and Pearl candlesticks, Italian brass 1980s swan table, wicker stand, tape holder, chrome Sonneman style lamps, paint-by-numbers Jesus, Pigeon Forge pitcher, grey 1960s gooseneck lamp, 1870s blown glass bottle, Roseville Magnolia tea set, etc.

I loved your comment about thrift stores. The "thrift" stores in my area are definitely NOT thrift stores anymore. I understand vendors wanting to charge as much as they can, after all they are in business, but the word thrift needs to not be part of their store name. Thank you for another great video, George. I always enjoy shopping & learning from you! Take care! xo Edit- love your funny remarks, you keep it fun!!

Hey George! I'm a bit late to this one...been some "interesting" storms here. I noticed what looked like some tumblers with pool balls on them, in the window. Did there happen to be a pitcher to go with those? Those two Lane pedestal tables gave me the idea of taking the top off one, stacking the pedestal bases and making a tall pedestal table. I know...I need smacked 😲😆 I liked those Moroccan-style windows. Those make really good pieces to repurpose. That 1910s vase, with what looked like Hiawatha on it, would've definitely come with me. I really liked that piece. Even with the hairline crack, for $20.00, I'd have had to bought it. That old radio tube tester really interested me. I have a small one that was my granddad's. Love that Adirondack frame you bought! That red Czech necklace is a nice one. The Czech jewelry pieces really tend to stand out from the rest, to me. Great video!!! Thanks for the take-along!!!

Those Drexel pieces 3:00 are called campaign style. You guys are making me want to give up on thrift stores because in antique malls and the like there is a higher percentage of possible vintage scores than at thrift stores. In my small city Goodwill has started pricing a lot of their items at major city thrift store prices and I find it quite ridiculous. How I would love to see people completely buycotting thrift stores that have ridiculous prices so that maybe they would have the customer and donors in mind when pricing their inventory.

    • @SisterShirley

Half Mt, I know exactly what you mean. The Dearborn MI Goodwill is dirty and messy and waaaaaay
      overpriced on most things.
Ex: a Dollar Tree bowl was marked
$2.99, Oui yougurt glass cups $1.99
      You get the picture....
