Put a 1/4 turn valve on the tank drain, you can then cap it when racing/driving and remove cap, put a hose on and route to jerry can with no mess. Also, the tube style trans coolers suck(like yours with the external 180 degree tubes), eventually swap it to the bar and plate style (derale 13870 as an example). Substantial difference in cooling.

I was taught never to use an angle grinder on aluminum cuts that you are going to weld because it will jam in oxidized pieces of aluminum dust as well junk from the cutting wheel into the metal and make it hard to get a good weld. The snipper was the right move
JFYI: fuel tanks are tested at 5psi on air for 24 hours. A baffle would've been a good idea too, but a 2gal sump definitely helps. Was gonna say that last video but figured it was already finished and installed.
I don’t know if you plan on driving that long distances but maybe you should put another return line location that’s not directly into the Sump that’s definitely going to heat your fuel up over long distances
Hey Kyle, will that lower sump be in danger of hitting the ground if you wheelie? Also I suggest throwing a petcock/valve on the drain fitting on the tank.
I had something similar happen with my plasma cutter years ago. Metal dust builds up on the circuit board and eventually arcs across terminals and smoke the circuit board just like yours. 😢 solution is to keep the plasma as far from metal cutting as possible. (Not very feasible in a small garage) alternatively just use an air gun to blow out the back of the plasma every now and then to keep it clean. 👍
the gunshot sound is probably a condensor popping inside the plasmacutter one good thing about everlast / chineese stuff in general : you can get replacement circuitboards for them pretty cheap and eazy might want to look intoo a used second one as when you need it running you realy need it and cant do without , makes it eazier doing different jobs too as you can leave one permanently mounted to the arcdroid and use the other one to cut on the car

Methanol and I think e85 corrods aluminum tanks. C16 may be different but I would think twice and keep and change filters regularly.
