  • Here is the first part of my Eurovision 2022 Grand Final voting simulation using the old voting system (until 2015) where the jury vote and televote was combined into one score per country.
    Making my videos take up a lot of my free time (especially this one) and support by giving a like and subscribing would be greatly appreciated.

      TBF, we didn't see the spokesperson for Azerbaijan, so it makes sense in order to keep it real life

    To get this correct, You needed to put the televote results only for Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, Montenegro and Poland only, as when juries in 2015 and other years cheated, they only used the televote when giving out the points (read; Montenegro, Macedonia 2015) not mixed with the aggregated jury results. As for San Marino, the aggregated jury would have been used alone and not combined with the aggregated televote.

      I've used the jury aggregate results combined with the televote results to come up with points for those countries.

    This is so wrong unfortunately.. how Greece gets zero points from Netherlands when they have received 12 points from the jury?

    • @vex6259
      @vex6259  Před rokem +21

      Greece placed 21st with the televoting, making their combined placement 12th (0 points) with the old system.

      @@vex6259 so you used the system of 2013-2015. I thought you were using the 2009-2012 one when jury and televoting points are added together and then from this score they get the top 10 of each country

    • @vex6259
      @vex6259  Před rokem +2

      Yes exactly!

      Honestly the 2013-2015 system is the worst because a country could have like 95% of its population voting for a specific song (yes, I know that would never happen IRL but this is all hypothetical) and it would still get 0 points from that country just because 5 people (the jury) don't like it.
      Interestingly enough, (if I understand correctly) this also means that there could be entries getting 0 points in the current system but 12 points in the 2013-2015 system if a song placed 11th in both the jury and the televote but the jury top 10 is also the televoting bottom 10 and vice versa with the jury winner being the one with the fewest votes and so on, since all of them would average around 13th place (exact number would vary depending on the finalists) while the one placing 11th in both would average 11th and as a result, have the highest average.
