    I want to love this thing. The idea behind it is great, but it just looks so cheaply made. The images produced look incredible and getting a higher frame rate would be nice. I would absolutely be into it if they made a slightly upscale one, with better components and a more consistent way to to control frame rates. Those improvements would be work a higher price.

      Me too! I love the idea and concept of it but it just needs a little bit more care put into it to be a really fun camera to always have around! Would definitely pay more for a more reliable version as well

    Three Shrek 2 DVDs, one for the bedroom, one for the living room and one for the bathroom. All playing on repeat. Best thing money can buy

    Darkroom prints of sets of 4 frames could be so sick!

    I got this camera when i was like 12 at urban outfitters and i used it once to film my dog. I never understood what was going on, so stranded it in a stash of weird cameras i have for over a decade. I recently found it and im intrigued if I can make something fun out of it.
    Definitely feels super flimsy and cheap lol but still a fun camera.

    it's pretty good if you use an overhead tripod & are animating using cels

    Just curious: How much post processing is there? Shooting B&W negative film, I'll need to convert the frames (x4?) to a positive. To me, the real work would involve processing each frame. And, in doing so, I think I'd want each frame to be of same contrast, density, etc.
    Scripting it would be fun. Shooting like it's a motion picture would be fun. Post processing, not so much fun!
    Thoughts?

      ya the post work is definitely the most time consuming. editing to make sure each frame is the same, then compiling each still image as a frame in the video. and matching up the frames so there isnt too much wobble as well. its a cool effect but would definitely take a lot of work for a long video

      @@sheelios Hi! Thanks for the reply. Thinking of doing a 4-5 minute "slide" show. Saw someone's video with (I think) Premiere. I think that would help. But, I still need to learn more and that's what makes photography so much fun!!!

    Did you ever figure out what went wrong with the two and a half rolls that didn't turn out? And how do you know when you've come to the end of a roll, does it just stop winding?

    • @sheelios
      @sheelios  Před rokem +1

      So I learned that the little notches that take up the film isn’t the most well made. It often doesn’t catch and you’re winding but film isn’t going through. And the mechanism to open the shutter is also slightly flimsy. Could just be my user error. But yes it’ll stop winding once the film is used up!
