In 1992 in england we still used large format bellow style cameras so it makes perfect sense that the sign would be that one.......

There's not really a camera sign that uses said icon anymore but speed camera signs, thus it makes it really easy to tell what the sign means. It also doesn't make sense to update it when everyone knows what it means - it's cause more confusion then anything.
