I agree. Utilmately, we are more accountable and responsible for our own children first before we are for our neighbours or our countrymen.
Pakistan is a sinking ship anyway, and they don't deserve to have a person like Junaid spend so much energy for them.

To the girl who supports her parents: I have been at your place. My father passed away and I supported my family. With my experience, I would suggest just say: Mein paisay dena band kerdoun gi, ager ghar nahi rkhna to hostel chli jaon gi. Then see the behavior changing. Also, I had a friend who was a school teacher her father was violent and would beat her and her mother. Her mother would support her father too. She started earning only 12 thousand rupee per month and her father never raised his hand on her. Her mother still used to raise her hand on her, then she said mein paisay la ker in hatho pay rkhti hun ayinda na uthana mujhpay and from that day her mother didn't even ask her to cut vegetables. Mein ye nhi kerhi k batamizi kero but yar hum jesi larkiyan sb ko buri lgti hain, even humary maa baap ko bhi, wo bas paisy ki waja say chup huty hain. Uski importance bta dain.

Junaid. I am writing to you & advising you as a sister. Don't leave your family on their own anymore. You need to take a decision of either staying in Pakistan or in London. Leaving Mrs alone in the UK is really not a good idea.
However brave & strong she is; She would need you now.
As you said just now, you sit alone & do your podcasts alone; You can do it from anywhere; Can't you 🤔? So be strong & wind up & stay with your family.

Nobody tell us how parents destroy and ruined the life of children in many ways! Be it being greedy or being so toxic. Everyone sells the manjan of PARENTS ARE GOD but nobody tells another side of coin. Every drama every movie portrays PARENTS AS GOD AND CHILD AS DEVIL. But how could one believe when he/she facing humiliation toxicity hate at their home from parents just bcz they say NO to something which could destroy their life/career/emotions/health and more importantly their happiness.
This is very common in my circle how badly parents are treating their child specially GIRLS.

    • @MakhmoorJatoi
      @MakhmoorJatoi Před rokem +3

Brother, the answer is simple. Since we live in a patriarchal society, our egos can't accept the fact that there is someone who's idea is better than you. Be it your child. This needs to stop. We have to accept the fact that no matter how great our intellect is all matters of life there is someone whose idea will be better than ours. 😊

Carbon credits have been there for many years now. Traded on special trading platform, they allow companies to effectively manage their carbon emissions. Almost all companies in the west and also many in Asia publish data regarding their carbon emissions and cutbacks in Annual Reports. I knew a guy who used to deal in Carbon credits. The concept hasn’t found much traction in South Asia. In India, they do have a trading platform for carbon credits and policies set in place. Not sure about other developing Asian economies.

Hello Junaid bhai, I trust you're in good health. Regarding the initial story about raising a child in today's society, I've encountered similar situations. I've been living in Islamabad for an extensive period and have had minimal interactions with children. Each child has their individual narrative and lifestyle, and they are selective about who they allow into their lives. This tendency was apparent from my childhood experiences. In Islamabad, people have their established mindsets and social circles, similar to the Russian Kid you mentioned. No one at that time provided guidance or managed that situation. I continue to face this predicament in Islamabad, and it's a consistent pattern everywhere. I've endured significant hardships over the years and still feel isolated. Irrespective of your efforts, people maintain their exclusive circles and only admit those they prefer.
As I've grown into an adult, I've observed that these individuals remain unchanged. They only befriend you for personal gain, discarding you once their purposes are fulfilled. The people here are unsociable and tend to isolate themselves within their own circles.

#ganjiswag : to a girl working from remote area and parents are being toxic, you gave brilliant idea of keeping money in separate account and show less in her main account but give reason as because parents re traumatising her that's why her work and clients are being affected and if they still want her to earn efficiently then they have to let her spend life according to herself. Giving reasons about AI and work being saturated wouldn't be as effective I think

45:00 Not sure of what's desi fascination with Canada. Canada is a sh*thole, especially if you are highly educated person in tech. I am surprised why you people want to move to Canada when there is an innovative powerhouse US open for you. I studied and worked in US for years, moved to India, didn't adjust well and thus came to Canada. Since I am born in India, I cannot get US green card for decades, but Pakistanis can easily get it.
An experienced software engineer in Toronto gets 130,000 CAD on average and a small townhouse costs 1.5 million CAD or more. Whereas a software engineer in Dallas, Texas gets 150K to 200K USD on average and a huge house costs less than 700,000 USD and Dallas is much warmer. If you are not a software engineer, many biotech/aerospace engineers with master's and PhD drive Uber in Canada as there are no jobs for them. Whereas they get good jobs in US, as soon as they get Canadian citizenship and can get TN visa.
It takes years to find a family doctor in Canada, and if you need to get X-ray done, it can take weeks and months. Whereas if you have a good job in US, health insurance is provided by employer. Its very easy to find quality healthcare in US.

Dude, what he said is "his opinion" you don't have to agree with it, or take it as a fact, it's a subjective opinion. If you can make a good standard of living in Pakistan, all the power to you, but not eveyone is in the same situatio.

Conflict of Interest with Partner (Regarding Moving Abroad) : We never know where we will end up. Whats the guarantee, that the next person she meets wont want to go over seas, 95% of men in Pakistan would want to move overseas.
I am a male and when I got engaged I was in US, Neither my (to be) wife nor my in laws had any big interest in US or being in US. Nor against it. My wife is also very close to her family so I can understand. Turns out, After marriage I was in Pakistan for some years and now I am in Australia, ... 🤷‍♂I myself never thought that I would ever come here.
So, explain it to your fiance, you end up with someone else who is also " gher ki billi" type and works in a big Pakistani national company and he promises never to leave, then he gets an opportunity from this Pakistani MNC now to head their overseas branch and you end up outside after one kid.... what is she going to do now, She is going to stay back with her relatives or her "family". Wouldn't she think, that she ends up overseas with someone she actually liked or someone now she is end up with.
This is a big decision for both of you. If her closeness to her family and relatives is near to toxic, that could become an issue as well for that she needs to mature. Again, you do not marry one person you marry into a family too. ( for both the girl and the boy)
