Hey FYI on the gate hinges if you take the closed end of a wrench it works great to tighten them in with. Just a little tip from on dad to another. Love you channel
FINALLY a tip on turning those silly things! Haha. I’ve got a pipe wrench that makes light work of them & couldn’t find it when filming video. I used the hammer side of my pliers because that sucker was STUCK!

Adler Farms hey forgot to tell you that the company that makes that latch also makes one for a gate that only opens one way. I have been using the latches for years now and love them. The other style I use it on my horse stall gate. And on the longer gates I also used there wheel for the gate so it didn’t sag. The latches I got were red though but they came from Tractor Supply. Your place is looking great 👍 you have been busting your rear end and it shows. You have to feel great when you stand back and look at all you have accomplished so far. Take care deuces, ✌️lol

I'd love to know how far apart your posts are. Looks like you have about 3 inches clearance on the latch side. I'm putting in a 48in gate, with a latch like that. Just wondering what the spacing needed between the posts would be. Thanks.
The gate with the hinges will be over 48 inches. I’d set your posts wider than you think and use a shim behind the latch like I did 👍🏻 😎.

That should be pretty good man. Just dry fit it beforehand.
I didn’t mention it in video about spacing bc not everyone will be using same gate.

Mine didn’t come with lag screws. What size works best?
None of them come with lag screws because some folks attach to metal posts so they wouldn’t do any good. I used 13mm. 10mm would work but grab washers if you use 10mm.
