I started to watch her a few days ago starting with some interviews and lectures from a couple a years ago, like this one. She sounds very thoughtful, gives detail information and backgrounds on why and how things evolved and differ between Russia and the west. She explained why and when Putin may turn into a very dangerous person.
Then I saw some interview with her and she made a complete u-turn. She sounds like every one else: more weapons, more money, don't care of Putin
So did Putin change? Or did Ioffe change because of the backlash she received for not following the black & white narrative?

No one in the US understands Russia. You could be the first if you comprehend that Russia sees the country who used nuclear bombs, England who does most of the world's money laundering and wishes they still had an empire. The descendants of Napoleon, Adolph and Benito all wanting their death. That's the thanks we give them for saving Europe in WWII.

Through an investor who later acquired an interest in a Jared Kushner (Trump's son-in-law?) venture..... The investment was made through a Russian technology magnate, Yuri Milner."

As someone who lives in Russia and insider of Russian authorities, because we worked in few projects and were involved in some main energy projects such as oil and gas (which means government and politic). Julia is very close to truth. Putin is overestimated in case of his sharp mind and intelligence. Actually he is conserved and highly narcissistic guy with his illusions that he know everything. Suspicious and I don’t know why, but political elite is highly closed and didn’t go far away from USSR. KGB is not only their past job, but life style and view of point. Propaganda relate democracy with all bad things, like open market is pure evil, if we follow democracy we will end with gay marriages, and USA will invade our country as they did in Iraq. So Putin and everything what he does is to “protect” Russia, to keep us in right track! Is what they say in tv and all press media. So it’s weird thing, but it is what it is

    • @marygh4834

You are correct if you saw our country the USA now. It is unreconizable. with Biden as president we no longer have freedom of speech. We get censored from facebook or twitter. the media, TV and Newspapers are all bought by Soros all are propaganda and lies. They lie about how great Biden is doing when with him we have HIGH CRIMES MURDERS have gone with through the roof, high inflation when our country was energy independent with President Trump, now we buy oil from Russia. Yes Russia the same country USA is criticizing now. Companies are all scared stiff to say anything about the racist thugs black lives matter member because Biden will just them paid to go and burn the business down. Thats right. Our Vice President Kamala Harris bails this black thugs out of jail when they get arrested for burning a business down. The hate our country the USA but yet won't leave it and move to Mexico or someplace else. Even immigrants like representative Omar that comes from Somalia is out there trashing our country trying to make it like Somalia that she fled from They should move out of our country. I am hispanic and I hate this democrats that are ruining our country and taking our freedom away with mandates and I can't believe we don't have people out in the streets protesting against this thugs. But of course most conservatives work whereas the BLM thugs get paid to go out and burn and loot in the name of peaceful protess. No these are riots not protest. USA IS NOT WHAT IT WAS BEFORE.
