Was my favourite band growing up. For me their best is "Slippery People" with Byrne and Harrison being perfectly tight on Guitar and Keys, while the Chris and Tina weave their magic percussion. Or when Alex Weir joined them on guitar for the beautifully melodic "This Must Be The Place". I couldn't understand why those songs weren't bigger at the time but they have since grown massive streaming support.

One of the greatest of all time. Shout out to Tom Tom Club too! This version, of this song, is fantastic. Hard to imagine this is their LAST LIVE PERFORMANCE - come on guys... if the Stones and U2 are out all the time, you can do it one more time... and David, you seemed to have mellowed a little... your band... this band... the band... Chris and Tina's band... Jerry's band... is one of the greatest of all time. It's a BAND. First ballot hall of fame. One of the greatest of all time. Art is about looking back and forward. It Wasn’t sad for him. The ones who complain the most were Tina and her hubby Chris because they wanted to keep making money even though they made enough with their Tom Tom Club. They boasted that they made enough with that band to put their kids through college so how much money did they need? But I guess they wanted more. …. It’s true you have to have a lot of money to live in Fairfield Connecticut. So they started trashing on David after he didn’t want to record or perform with them anymore because they knew they didn’t have as much talent as he did And they knew they couldn’t make as much money without him. He WAS the Talking Heads. They just wanted to use him to get richer. He was smart enough to realize that. Tina Weymouth made all these snarky comments about him like that he “didn’t understand what friendship was.” She doesn’t either. She’s just a user. He was 10 times more intelligent and talented than she was. She’s a mediocre bass player at best and that’s about all she’s got

Even though they claimed they made a lot with the Tom Tom Club. I can’t blame DB for not wanting to hang around with them too much longer. He had too much talent. He had every right to go off on his own and he was a very creative person who probably didn’t want to be pinned down to one genre. Tina is no no Tal Wilkenfeld either. I think Chris is a better drummer than she is a bass player. His biggest problem is he puts her on a pedestal and agrees with everything she says. I guess they deserve each other.
