    I spy zip ties on the radiator hose! Sounds like another good quick tip kind of video. Twist the hose counterclockwise on the thermostat housing end and then tighten the clamp. The "preload" on that hose will keep it from flopping down into the fan. (Obviously dont twist it so much that it kinks either)

    Just one thing to consider - your intake mod LOWERS the height of the snorkel - possibly sucking in water depending on how deep a water crossing gets......

      Agreed. If your going thru 48+ inches of water you may not want this unit.

    Will this fit with the towing package/transmission cooler located around the same area on the grille?

      If you can see the opening through the front of the truck, it will work. I did make an install video. You just need to search for it.

    When it's cold Wisconsin / Michigan 10 below zero fahrenheit is it possible to draw too much cold air into the engine?

  • @ryancnew
    @ryancnew Před rokem +1

    Looks pretty simple and sounds intuitively interesting. What are the benefits of making a change to take in air from one location or the other? I get the temperature should be lower from outside but what is the outcome of doing so? PS - love your channel and videos. Doing a lot of this on my 1996 Bronco XLT 😊

      @BroncosandPartsGarage  Před rokem +2

      Thanks. Hope your subscribed. I know cold air will add horsepower, I do not think you’ll feel it in our particular vehicles, but the ideal temperature entering an engine should be about 74°. And under the hood it’s a lot hotter. Colder air is more oxygen dense therefore it increases power.

    Have you had any performance increases with this install btw?
