- Mr Incredible Becoming Uncanny: Piano Octaves
I thought I was done making this videos but apparently not lmao. Sorry for the inactivity, it originally was me taking a break due to my studies but eventually it turned into just laziness on my part. I thought to start my posting a short Mr incredible meme video, and see how it goes.
The pieces featured in these videos are exclusively judged on their octaves section, but even that ranking is pretty loose, as I have not played the majority of the pieces featured. So take this entire video with a HUGE grain of salt, or just watch it for entertainment I guess.

You know the last one is bad when it has to be played on a MIDI 💀
Strakosch and Alkan are literally something that only a Chernobyl's resident can surely play
Согласен.
i think people could play the var before he finale.... not hte finale itself
😂
I would have been disappointed if Alkan’s Le Preux wasn’t in this video. Yi-Chung Huang’s performance of this is incredible 👌
Jumping from mozart to liszt 💀 i expected chopins octave etude after mozart in difficulty lol
the ending octaves in liszt are pretty sightreadable IMO, its just chromatics. The same cant be said for the beginning octaves tho lmao
@@acactus2190 do you base these lists on technical difficulty or sightreading difficulty?
@@RhodesyYT loosely around technical difficulty, but even by that standard the liszt octaves are pretty easy compared to the later ones
But the most easiest octaves piano piece may be the maiden prayer.
Busoni's Piano Concerto also has some very complex octaves in every movement except 5th. I vividly suggest everyone to go see Hamelin's performance on CZcams, you'll see the absurdly difficult octaves he plays (especially in 4th movement 52:20 or something)
yep, I listened to it! I think I featured it in one of my shorts!
@@acactus2190 thank you for your answer. Another piece I would mention is Adolf Henselt's Concerto in F minor. You will find lots of octaves right there
Yay! You’re back with more Mr. Incredible! 🎹✨
d'Albert's Piano Concerto no.2 been more beautiful, less terrifying. Schumann's Toccata too.
You should have put the octave passage in Busoni's concerto.
Luv the selection of pieces. Interesting how you put La Campanellas Octaves above the coda to Liszt piano concerto 1. Imo whenever I try to play the octaves in the concerto I hav a harder time (mostly on a musical scale but also I feel I get a bit more tired. Im surprised you didnt put the octave passage from the Liszt Sonata.
Sorabji Sonata No. 1 (19:53 onwards in the Hamelin recording) and Liszt-Horowitz/Liszt-Horowitz-Volodos HR15 also have some crazy octaves
Kinda sad this meme died
I mistakenly thought that the last ossia of the 3rd movement of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 3 was difficult.
Might I suggest parts of Amy Beaches first piano concerto? Not as octave flashy but still
Lol, on organ you just pull another 4' stop and there goes your octave effects. Don't practice harder pianists, just switch instrument. Thank me later
I thought the 2nd piece was Yankee Doodle Concert Variations by Strakosch 💀
They sound similar 😂
What about Horowitz Funerailles in 1932, or his 1952 octaves with Szell also Grynyuk octaves at Liszt sonata, Hamelin in his cadenza from Hubgarisn Rhapsodie 2 👀👀
What would've been great I'm this video would be the cziffra arrangement of flight of the bumblebee
please be more active. you are the only one who still uses this meme.
I’m a big fan of this format as well. I made my own vid in this style around the beginning of this year, covering 20th century music, and I hope to make more at some point.
No there are a actually a few people that still do
I was surprised that hungarian rhapsody no. 9 wasn't on the list
Where's the Cziffra's flight of the bumblebee transcription? impossible level, especially at the tempo and force with which he himself performs
if octaves, i may put the maiden prayer as the easiest one
>mozart turkish march
>rachmaninoff g minor prelude
>chopin octave etude
>debussy octave etude, Liszt La campanella, liszt piano concerto 1
> liszt b minor sonata, liszt orage from annes de pelerinage, tchaikovsky piano concerto 1, liszt trans etude no 7
>Schumann toccata, D albert piano concerto 2
>Volodos Rulsan and Lyumila variations, Aklan Le Preux
>Strakosch Yankee doodle Concert variations
ooh, lots of great pieces. I would put debussy way higher tho, as in terms of octaves its not the most difficult sections in the list sonata or tchaik
could someone tell me who is playing la campanella please, his interpretation is really nice
You where is the chopin etude lmao😊
really thought this would include erlkonig somewhere
I think you should've included Alkan's Op. 35 No. 12, literally octaves the entire piece ☠️ Not to mention, where's Cziffra, the tritsch tratsch polka transcription is literally hell 😂
yayyy alkan there!!
Personally, I would put La Campanella before Liszt piano concerto, or just use hungarian rhapsody 6
Ура! Он вернулся!
who is playing la campanella in the video?
Yundi Li
@@acactus2190 thanks
What is that handspan 😭
@@chillmemes5865 pretty big ;)
Beethoven/liszt 9° Symphony 4° mov left hands octaves
Wheres hamelins hr2?
Nice! Who plays Campanella in this video???
Yundi Li!
как сыграть Le Preux, но что б рука не уставала на половине пассажа?
bro added tchaik pc but didnt add the famous octave passage
tbf the part he chose was also quite famous
No henselt? Hee hee hawh
Would you be able to recommend me some stupendous, octavous henselt compositions
NoIce
I'm going ahead and saying la campanella's octaves are easier that Liszt's concerto
Is this based on difficulty though?
I'd still argue that revolutionary etude in octaves is worse than yankee doodle 💀 Also, glad to see that more memes are being made about classical music/piano
was thinking of that at first lol
THEY RE BACK , GUYS WAKE UP WAKE UP THE SERIES ARE BACK !! CACTUS IS BACK !
