for the other big guys worried about the top edge slicing your shirt/muffin top, you can scoot your butt forward just enough so you're not sitting straight up causing your pelvis and hips to flatten out. instead of sitting at an almost 90 degree angle, sit closer to 110 or atleast practice moving into that position before you draw the blade. if you're worried about fighting in a car adjust your seat accordingly that makes the process easier. I carry mine in the same placement it's intended for and I feel pretty confident doing this. the downward angle is crucial for this though, if it's completely horizontal it's gonna be tough for most people, same thing if your knee is raised up to your abdomen. that top edge poses slight risk to the user but also poses dire risk to the attacker. this is a genius knife and the applications it's used for are brilliant as well, make it work.
the small reverse edge blade with a "sword grip" is so damn brutal, when you are a grapller and are armed with one of those, it must be an bsolute nightnare for the opp....it is like a force multiplier for grappling, just imagine a body lock with a clinch pick in your hand.......really really nasty
It isn’t made for fat guys. Appendix carry or hip crease won’t work with pot belly because he or she will disembowel themselves with that reverse blade.
Guys, I’m about the same size as Condition Orange Preparedness (Big guy interviewing Craig) Placing the blade in the appendix carry position isn’t a viable when I crunches into a car or a my Ram Promaster City . It’s within these compact areas that my belly pushes out over my “renal crease” as Clinch pick Craig would call it. Anyone with even the smallest gut who is tall would have a problem drawing the knife from that knee up to their stomach elevation . Reverse blade will slice the underside of my belly when removed from sheath and
The clinch pick does not perform very well for self defense. After extensive testing I found the larger blade torques the shorter handle creating very shallow wound channels. I posted a video demonstrating this
The questions remain on this 2.0 (1) Sharpness I had heard the earlier versions arrived butter knife dull! Crude cut also. (2) Rust easily is this model any different? At over $100 it’s kinda of expensive for a Chinese made knife so I am debating spending more on the Ban-tang custom models. What is your opinion?
Mine came crazy sharp and even if you get a dull one, it sharpens and holds an edge well. Never had rust issues. While it is a Chinese knife. The quality is still there
i have one and will tell you the grip isn't that comfortable or secure feeling in the hand. dry hands just ok, wet hands not at all ... your hand will most likely ride up the blade causing injury to yourself.
How will your hand get past the notch on the underside of the knife, where the tang meets the handle? The real danger I see is to the thumb. If you don't keep that thumb in a balled fist position, it could get cut.
All the American knife companies and you can't find a single one to produce it here? I would buy one if it were made here. Since its not I would ask everyone looking at this video to also look at an alternative that may even be better. The TOPS California Cobra. Stop buying crap from overseas that is way overpriced for what it is.
I am german and Brittas boyfriend. As a metal worker for nearly 40 years, i can tell you , that chinese steel quality is enough to badly hurt a Person.
Great review, only one on CZcams pretty much. Craig seems like a great guy and is very well spoken!
I have heard nothing but praises about this design. I want one so bad. I'm seeing so many wanna be designs.

Love this! Due the current social situations I have been exploring a small straight edc.

the perfect "anti rape weapon"

That IS certainly a consideration to keep in mind. I'll run that one past Craig next time I see him.
thats what the sheath is for big guy

R C , that works for almost all encounters except if I’m in the drivers seat. There to it will work I just can’t be locked in tight with the seatbelt.
I'm gonna make my own to my liking. Can't decide on this type of knife . Think I want a dual edge.

Is this legal to conceal and carry in California
Yep just don't conceal it or carry it around schools.
@@savoirfaire6181 wrong don’t conceal it at all. it is illegal do proper research don’t rely on CZcams commehts

No fixed blade is legal to conceal in commiefornia. Just tuck your shirt behind it.

Do you guys ship to Canada?
Here’s their contact page. I’m thinking they probably would if your local laws allow it:

@Jason Patrick Good to hear.
@Jason Patrick Did you also order the trainer set?
Where is it made? I hope it's not made in China!
