You can actually crouch at the top of a ladder in order to quickly dismount at the top instead of needing those precise inputs
They aren’t too precise of movements, but it’s pretty good to know that you can do that.
for those wondering why the diagonal movement works its because of the way movement is calculated, imagine moving on an x,y grid, with a base speed of 1. holding w you would move at a speed of 1 on the y axis, if you held d you would move 1 along the x axis, now if you held both you would move 1 along the y and 1 along the x, because of pythagorous this means you are moving sqrt(1^2+1^2) units diagonally or root(2) (1.4142) this means you are moving 1.4142 times your normal speed which is where the 40% speed increase comes from

If you guys are like me it may be easier to turn yiur crouch key into a right button mouse click. Once I did that (along with making me always sprint when I go foward) I have been much better at doing these various movement techs and tricks.

you do get a boost when sliding off stairs, also you can do something that I like to call edge jumps. Is when you are jumping off an edge but before you jump tap the crouch key then jump. Overall great video keep up the great work

Wall bumper on the map that you showed can make you win every match if you jump above the wall bumper, to get there you can use the floor bumper

That Crouch Diagonal Jump haunts my dreams. As a TF2 Soldier Main I know that the base of C-Tapping, which allows you to rocket jump higher, is to tap crouch, and while your character goes back up, use the momentum to jump and shoot. And now you’re asking me to jump THEN crouch ?! Nonsense !

you can wall slide on certain maps by jumping and landing with a crouch on the edge of the map this works on the red light green light map and others

As an apex movement player who recently got this game because of the steam market I think I may be able able make a fair but of money extremely easily

Hug a wall and aim diagonally downwards and hold crouch to get a hyper slide off the wall
Did some of these, got accused of hacking and kicked
But it was very useful in other matches

I use DaVinci Resolve, free editing software and fairly intuitive. It has an incredible amount of features

not really a movement thing but if you hug the wall while falling it negates all fall damage. also sliding when in a super jump or when touching a wall will let you slide across entire maps.

I accidentally found a "ladder jump" I ran towards a ladder and hit jump with timing, I got a long boost forward. i'll see if i can find out more
Walls also get rid of fall damage if you slide on them

Yep, if you crouch against a wall you can get boosted and negate all fall damage when you land.

These tips r super helpful but I just cant properly move my fingers as fast as you can. Does that mean I have a bad keyboard or does that mean something else?
i created a tech and i call it "trickyladder".
when ur opponent is chasing you, you need to hit a ladder thats near to a tire. do crouch, jump and go diagonally to trick your opponent as if you have small time

2:50 i actually did this once in a game but somehow i was able to bump myself all the way to the monitor
sadly i only did this after the game ended so i couldnt use it to my advantage
i couldnt recreate this but ive gotten close many times

more things you missed
.jumping and sliding against a wall will lead to a cool boost
.hugging a wall while falling will nullify fall damage
for the first one don’t you mean like sliding as soon as u hit the floor
For wall sliding you need to move diagonally into the wall, and it doesn't work on all maps but it will negate all fall damage and the boost is insanely fast

Right before you land, you crouch, and pretty much right after you crouch you jump
if you crouch diagonal jump just when you get hit by a bumper, you will get an absurd ammount of speed

Any tips on the crouch timingwhen vertical jumping?
Pretty much right after you jump, like 0.2 seconds after. It’s a little forgiving so you should be able to get it!
You will hear the ground slide sound when you have good timing but are also not affected by sliding too early. Play Dorms map and try to jump so you skip one bed section.

Is the crouch diagonal jump better than diagonal jump. Because I tried it and the distance covered is the same
If you are trying to cover a large gap like the beds in the dorms map, use crouch diagonal jump.

So is the distance covered greater if not then why use crouch jump at all
hypergliding (the name that has stuck for this mechanic) is the fastest way to get high speeds on flat ground (no walls, slopes, etc.) but it isn't repeatable (theres some kind of cooldown and trying to do it immediately after landing is slow). the quickest movement then looks something like this: hyperglide, do something to maintain your speed for a second, then hyperglide and repeat.

what button should crouch/slide be set to?
I have it set to a mouse button but if you dont have those choose a key you can press without limiting your mobility. For example having your slide as C would limit your movement from moving right as you have to take your finger off of D
