Volvo S60/V70 FRONT Window Regulator Plastic Guide Replacement How To DIY - Possibly XC90 and S80

  • The drivers window on the V70 has been problematic for some time, it has always been laboured as the front of the window seems to lag behind the rear when being raised. This eventually resulted in one of the plastic guides breaking up, I then managed to close the window without realising it had bent the regulator. There's a considerable amount of movement in the regulator on my car so it's likely I'll have to change the full regulator soon.

It’s also recommended to spray the sides of the window next to the mirror and the outer side with WD40
I do that every 4-6 months and never had any issues with this

I have lubricated those channels many times to try to help the issue but it’s never made much difference. I’ve ended up having to change the regulator as well, the arms were too bent it seems.

I just replaced the plastic pieces but and tested it worked 4 or 5 times, then the arm would raising the window would pop out of the hole. Is the window regulator arms suppose to be bent because now it ties window up about a little over 1/2 way and struggles to go higher.
