I have a cross belgian Dutch Shepherd. He is my best friend. Mind he has abundant energy and requires four walks a day one of them is a five mile walk then at night time he brings his rope over for half an hour of playing tug of war. He gets on so well withe other dogs and he loves people. Well the ones he knows are friendly to me. He sure makes me smile a lot

I ve got that same crossbreed. A female, 6 months old now. She's so clever, never leaves my side. Barks at strangers who are coming too close. I particulary like the striped furr of the dutch shepard, I'm on the brink buying a male companion for her.

Hello! I want to adopt a guard dog. I really like the way the Malinois works. I live in Europe, and will soon move to South America. There is no time to raise a puppy. We need a “ready” guard dog. I found an advertisement for the sale of a Malinois (2.5 years old, male). The owner is selling due to lack of health (the owner). The owner says that the dog has passed 2 levels of mondiering, bites well, and seems to obey. I will, of course, check all this again... But your professional opinion is interesting: is it even possible to reorient such an adult “working” Malinois to a new owner? Is it possible that she will follow my commands? Is it possible that she will guard and protect me and my family? How long will it take? How can a change of owner and a move to a new continent at almost the same time affect a dog?

Hi Tanya, Before buying an adult dog make sure that this is the fit for you. Be sure that the dog is really for protection and not just a sleeve happy dog. I’ve seen dogs that’s been in these dog sports that are not equipped to protect you or your family. I would suggest a dog trained for what you are looking for. Wow and then when you actually read the report from the university of Helsinki you find that they rate the border collie as most intelligent, whilst GSD's and Mallis rank equally and at the bottom was the lab.
CZcams is enjoyable to watch but take the majority of information with little credence.
All dogs are fantastic, just some breeds are held closer to our hearts.

My sister used to have a Belgian shepherd. Her house had stone fences and a gate that were pretty high at the time. The dog escaped many times. It was strong, nervous, and had lots of energy. Whenever it saw me, it kept circling me like herding. Once, I walked the dog in the winter and fell on the icy pavement. It literally dragged me half a block before stopping.
