The worst thing I had to deal with after spending 23 1/2 hours every day with mine, was the huge void in my life after 13 years passed way too quickly. Mine was my best friend, my confidant, my source of amusement, my mountain bike buddy, my alarm, my reason to get up, my reason to exercise, and much more. I could communicate with her, without having to say a word. I may re-home another pup, not necessarily another shepherd. But I know that I would be constantly comparing the latest pup to what was ultimately the BEST pup ever. Put the time in, and you'll be rewarded. Cherish every moment, the time goes past in the blink of an eye

I taught my Malinois to growl instead of bark when he saw something suspicious. He was very intimidating. This pup has the look that intimidates even without sound. Love it! ❤️🐾

Awesome pets, too.....in the RIGHT HOME. Ours is thriving on a 45 acre horse farm...very energetic dog friend, never kenneled or chained...100% my assistant. But I agree....NOT SUITABLE for "most" homes!!

THEY ARE NOT PETS!!!!!!!!!!!!! they are for working purposes. People buy them eventually they end up in shelters because they cannot handle this breed. PLEASE!! educate people before putting this awesome dog on display. They are not for pets that you can just put in your back yard. NOT FOR A NOVIS dog owner. EDUCATE THE PUBLIC AND EXPLAIN THAT THIS BREED IS FOR WORKING PURPOSES. I know of owners that lock them up because they cannot handle there drive and intensity. PLEASEif you are considering getting one do your research don't punish this animal if he is not able to thrive in the invourment that you are going to put him in.

Back in the 1980’s I trained dogs for the Texas Dog Academy. I worked with Wild Bill Walters who owns the business. He had a half Rottweiler and half Mastiff named Bear. This dog weighed over 140 pounds. Late one night Bill was walking out of a 7-11 store, and some 6’4” , 260 pound idiot tried to attack him. During the struggle, Bill backed the guy up to his truck and Bear grabbed the dude by the shoulder, picked him up and shook him like a rag doll. He said Bear didn’t let go of the dude until they were in the street driving away. I saw the side of his truck plastered with blood. Don’t know what happened to the dude, but he lost a lot of blood trying to attack a man with a well trained dog.
