HOW TO MAKE UBOBOK UKOM | PLANTAIN PORRIDGE | NIGERIAN FOOD

  • A simple dish made with Unripe plantain and most times cow head/ foot. It is a delicacy affiliated with the South West people of Nigeria and actually called Ukang Ukom by the Calabar’s or Ubobok Ukom by people from Akwa Ibom.
    You have nothing to worry, this dish does not need much ingredients to prepare...I promise! It is an easy and straight forward recipe
    Though the meat used in preparing this dish is Cow leg/ head, I used Goat meat (you should know my love for goat meat by now. Lol). It actually turned out great too.This is another exciting way to enjoy unripe plantain.

    INGREDIENTS
    Unripe plantain
    Goat meat
    Stock cubes
    Crayfish
    Yellow pepper
    Coconut oil ( this is my secret ingredient, I'd give credit to my Aunt, Mary who shared this with me. Ever since I tried this, I haven't used another)
    Red onion
    Salt
    Utazi leaves
    Scent leaves
    Water
