The commentary throughout all of this is gold. Adding sub-surface mod to make it thiccc... with three c's.
Well there's varying levels of thickness, the amount of Cs is the indicator! Thicc is not nearly enough for a scroll, while thicccc would be far too many. -Chunck 😂

Hey that's not a bad idea, hadn't thought of that! Likely very possible, although I wonder how sharp the edges would be. -Chunck :o
I've tried sculpting the wood grain with little luck. I'm obviously not doing something right lol. I increased the strength, 3 kind of works, much higher than that and it starts doing odd things like removing whole chunks of the mesh. Granted my.remesh resolution is something like 0.03 or something, oh and I didn't use the multires modifier, maybe thatd help too. Maybe I just don't have enough verts to work with. Not a huge problem in this case though as it's not going to be the focus of my scene. But I'll try again another time. :)
Ooh and I brought...dang, what was it...leg of gnats, and antenna of slugs. :)
Definitely sounds like it may be a mesh resolution issue, if your PC will allow it you may want to bump up the number of vertices you have! And those are some good ingredients, can't say I've gotten those yet! I shudder to think about why you may have already had those in your possession before watching this video. -Chunck 😂

I brought Cookie Dough, Chocolate you know.
I have a problem I hope someone will help me with... I don't see changes when I switch from sculpting mode to edit/ object mode. I was trying to apply modifier or convert it to the mesh and the only thing happens I'm losing changes. Please help!
ironic i just made a home remedy video for defeating a cold in 24 hours, with a basic, / serious / fullscale war 3 tier set of ingredients. I won't list them here.

That simple scene ended up being over a million verts. Isn't that generally bad practice?
Depends on the desired result. You definitely want to be smart about your polygons, but for a simple little render I wasn't going to be super conservative. -Chunck :)
