A number of people are indicating they're having problems in their replies. One thing is you don't actually type in "". That's just indicating you need to leave a space after sudo and after spctl. You type sudo, then leave a space, then type spctl and leave a space, then type --masterdisable and hit enter and then type in your password, which you won't be able to see, and hit enter. Done. It works perfectly. I just installed macOS Ventura 13.2 and had to redo it and it works perfectly. Thanks again! 👍✊

@@kahani586 You enter the password you use for your Mac then hit enter. That's your password. But you won't see it when you type it in. It's invisible.

M1 does it... but has no effect, plus every time I restart it removes the option of "Anywhere" any ideas?

unfortunately this hasn't worked for me i updated an app called Darktable i had a working version, installed the new version allowing it to overwrite the old version now i can't open it even after performing the directions of this video

I have tried with the space also before "spctl"

You don't actually type in the word "Space". That's just indicating you need to leave a space after sudo and after spctl. You type in sudo spctl --masterdisable and hit enter and then type in your password, which you won't be able to see, and hit enter. Done.
