Even if Vegeta "cheated" to get super-saiyan 4, the fact the he was able to put his pride aside and allow Bulma to help him achieve greater, not to rival Goku, but to save the earth without being stuck-up and bratty really shows how much he's grown to trust his friends and family to help him out
He didn’t cheat. He only used the machine to go great ape because there was no moon. Goku used the earth instead of a moon. Vegeta didn’t use a machine to go ssj4,he used it to replace the moon to go ape.

It is though . Vegeta Gaining Ssj4 that easily is really contrived and very lazy and I'll explain why . Let me state the positives first . 1 , I love the idea of Bulma being the reason Vegeta gets his tail and Ozaru and it makes sense since In original DB and DBZ it's stated and shown that only kid Saiyans are able to regrow their tails as seen with Kid Gohan in the Saiyan saga and Kid Goku in Both og DB and GT. Once adult Vegeta gets his tail cut off it never regrows . 2 , it makes sense Vegeta would gain it easier than Goku since he did have better control over the ozaru than Goku as shown in the Saiyan saga ( I'll get back to this as it's relevant for a criticism later ) 3 , The design is Rad but we already knew that . On to the critiques . For starters , Let's look at the way Goku achieved ssj4 and how the transformation is supposed to be achieved as a whole . After going Berserk as an Ozaru Goku Needed the Help of Pan and his love for the earth and his memories of the friends he made on earth to go ssj4 . Before that , Golden Ozaru Goku was overcome by pure rage and primal bloodlust . Super Saiyan already makes the user extremely violent and that coupled along with Ozaru made Goku super violent . It was only through Goku's Love for pan , his friends and family , and the earth was Goku finally able to achieve ssj4 . That's how the transformation Ssj4 is truly achieved . A Saiyan heart filled with mindless rage being overcome by immense love for something . The exact opposite of how to get Super Saiyan . Not to mention that Goku had to train and struggle immensely to beat baby , get his tail back , and overcome the ozaru . Now let's compare that to Vegeta . Yes , Bulma didn't out right give Vegeta ssj4 with the blood waves machine only the ozaru state . But that doesn't really matter since Vegeta controlled the ozaru so quickly . All that really happens is that Vegeta goes berserk for a few seconds and then goes " mY pRiDe is sTronGer thAn the priMal mind " and boom , ssj4 . And before you say " ofc he would get it quicker , he was able to control Ozaru in the Saiyan saga " let me say this . In the Saiyan saga Vegeta was a ruthless and heartless elite warrior . He didn't care about much of anyone . The Ozaru transformation makes the user more Ruthless and bloodthirsty as well as powerful . The Ozaru amplified Vegeta's traits making him more dangerous . You don't get Ssj4 by only being able to control the ozaru . You get it by Being able to overcome the Rage and bloodlust the ozaru brings while still harnessing the power of the ozaru . If that was the case , then Great ape Baby should've been able to go ssj4 . We never got a scene where we saw Bulma trying to calm down Golden Ozaru Vegeta by bringing up the memories of Him , Bulma , Trunks , or Bula . Or Goku trying to use Vegeta's pride as a fighter to calm him down , saying something about them being rivals pushing each other . In fact , Vegeta got the transformation so quickly that it really makes it seem that it was easy for him . Which goes against the theme of the entire franchise , which is " Progression through struggle " and " perseverance in the face of overwhelming adversity " . It would've been better if Bulma ONLY gave Vegeta a tail and he trained to eventually obtain ssj4 . Sorta Like Helping Vegeta help himself . Just like how she did with the Gravity room in the android saga . But that didn't happen . Lets face facts here , they needed ssj4 Vegeta to Get Ssj4 Gogeta and to progress the plot only and sell stuff . This whole video is very flawed with weak points . Which is strange because I usually agree with alot of Saiyan Scholar's videos . Ssj4 is my favorite transformation of all time , so I'm interested to see how someone would respond to this . I also agree that it's novel that Vegeta would set aside his pride to let Bulma Power him up . But the transformation is still subpar for the reasons I mentioned earlier .
I love GT Vegeta. He’s a fully realized version, and the culmination and aftermath of Vegeta’s development from Z. He is a family man, shows fierce protection for his family. He proudly proclaims that Earth is his home and will die for it. Remember when Vegeta saw Ssj4 Goku for the first time? He smiled, and was glad. No petty nonsense of him not attaining the form, none of that. Gt Vegeta is a goddamn role model

Absolutely love how chill gt vegeta is compared to most of dbs vegeta, I just wish gt vegeta had a bigger role, had long dope fights, achieved ssj4 and defeated a big opponent, although that could be said for any vegeta lmao

I think seeing Vegeta so mature and accepting of his life on earth is rather heartwarming and it feels so right for him; rather than having him stay the same forever... My Granddad used to watch GT with me before he passed and he always said he found enjoyment in the way GT Vegeta acted towards his family...

GT Vegeta is a pretty good showing on how Vegeta has matured and settled in fully as an inhabitant of planet Earth, being a bit more laid back than before. He's grown more and more as a character over the course of the series since his beginning, and he's redeemed himself from his past self somewhat. I have nothing against the Vegeta in Super but honestly this one just feels a bit more natural in my honest opinion.

I mean at first it felt like Super was "getting there" in terms of character development, but then it all got thrown out the window. Every character got frozen in time, because Super is exploitation genre anime. Its funny how these fanboys want their favorite characters to stay miserable. Gohan fanboys want Gohan to be the pissed off SSJ2 gohan 24/7. Vegeta fanboys want Vegeta to forever be insecure&chase the tail of Goku instead of being a guy happy with his gains and enjoying being a family man. Its only after Goku shattered Vegeta's ego, did he start turning bitter,insecure&jealous. Vegeta's normal state is being carefree, just look at the early scenes with Nappa, he's pretty chill and not mad at the entire world like he was for most of Z. So, GT Vegeta is actually the "real" Vegeta without his insecurities holding him back.

But I do think Goku and Vegeta competing against each other compliments them, not harms them, it forces them to get better, it's like if you have a gaming buddy that's equal/ mabye a bit better or worse then you that you compete with. That competition is what gives your workouts purpose.

GT Vegeta is the best version of the character because I love how he comes full circle at the end all of DBZ he wanted to be stronger than Goku....it became obsessive...even at the expense of others and his own life....and every time he kept falling short of being the strongest...... By GT he isn't concerned with that he understands how he and Goku are different and thats OK!... By the end of GT he gets on par with Goku becoming a SSJ4....so he got what he wanted in the end without sacrificing others but to protect others...all the while standing while his rival Goku.
He even stop wearing the armor which really confuses me in dbs version how puts it back on although the Buu saga just had the blue and the gloves . Also I don't know why they ditched the resurrection of f clothes, they were cool

He was still chasing after Goku in GT remember the conversation with bulma when she found out about the waves machine? He said he would finally surpass kakarrot and go beyond to SSJ5 that's still him chasing after Goku at least in Super he's going his own route for great power instead of following Goku's footsteps with UI like he did with SSJ4.
I always thought that Vegeta using science to become Super Saiyan 4, while Goku using more mystical means was interesting. I love that dynamic between two rival characters and how GT handled it.

This is the type of Vegeta that I'd expect to unlock ultra instinct. He's so calm, cool and sure of himself. He truly became a man in the end, seeing Goku as a friend rather than his goal. What a inspirational character.
Good point on Vegeta getting help from Bulma not being much different than Goku getting help from the Old Kai. I think people perceive it as cheating because Vegeta could just turn into an Oosaru and control the SSJ4 form instantly, because he trained to be in control of that form. Whereas Goku never learned to be in control as an Oosaru so he went on a little rampage, and it felt more "hard-earned". In that sense that advantage of Vegeta could be perceived as "cheating".
GT Vegeta is the final evolution of his character. Literally, Vegeta gets a chance to fight Goku but Goku's stomach rumbles and they just laugh and don't even fight. He doesn't even care about his rivalry that much now and the speech when he calls the earth is home is just fantastic.
I liked the moment where Vegeta himself suggested they fuse into Gogeta, instead of his typical "aaa muh pride!" whining etc, showed how mature he was became over the years not worrying about his personal "pride" because he knew the two together could only stand a chance against Omega, that and rather superficially he looked cool in GT with his new hairstyle.

The point I knew Vegeta had grown as a character was is the Buu arc. The episode Final Atonement showed us that, the final battle with Kid Buu also showed us that Vegeta really cares a lot and GT is the continuation of this. Im Currently bingewatching GT rn and yeah there's a lot to like about Vegeta in it. A lot of the characters feel like actual continuations. I like agressive rival Vegeta but watching a character grow and expand is also quite the adventure! Thanks for keeping GT alive. I like this show a lot.
I always liked GT Vegeta because he was calm and calculated in battle. It felt like a natural progression for Vegeta's character to become wiser and finally in control of his emotions in battle. Grow a mustache like Vegeta? I'd have to shave my beard to leave a mustache.
Quick note about the part where you talk about the final panel of the DB manga where Vegeta's still obsessing about defeating Gokū... that panel was a new addition in the 2004 Kanzenban release of the manga and was not present in the original print from 1995 (hell, you can even tell by looking at it that the art style is very different from the other preceding original panels as it's in Toriyama’s more modernized drawing style from that time), thus the way Vegeta was written in GT is more in line with how he was originally written at the end of the manga/Z anime, whereas his shitty, regressed characterization in Super matched more with that retconned Kanzenban ending.
Hell yeah, his physique, outfit, overall moral quality and thinking, a responsible family man with a badass attitude and regardless how he did it, this time he even manage to catch up to Goku as an SSj4.
I like gt vegeta and I respect that he his changed massively from when we saw him in the buu saga. But I have to disagree that super vegeta is stagnant to s certain extent in the granolah arc after vegeta and granolah fight the way he reacted to goku getting involved was stupid. But everything else is good for vegeta, especially in the goku black arc. Where he shows how proud he is of trunks not messing around with goku black and in both the manga and anime was about to kill him. In the tournament of power we see vegeta think about his family before the tournament and could care less about a tournament when he has a new baby on the way, and only goes ounce bulla is born. His interactions with goku for the most part especially in the tournament when he he gives goku some ki “kakarot I leave the rest to you”. Another good moment was when he fought god of destruction Toppo where similar to majin vegeta Toppo gave up who he was for the sake of power and vegeta having done that in the past and knowing goes against Toppo and comes out on top kind of symbolically having vegeta fight his majin self. So while super vegeta isn’t the best and isn’t as consistent as gt vegeta I think he still has a good amount of moments that make him a pretty good iteration of the character for me at least.
I agree, Vegeta has good character moments in Super. I think overall it's a silly comparison between GT Vegeta and Super Vegeta since they have such a big age gap. GT Vegeta had basically two grown kids while during Super Bulma gives birth to their second child, like of course they can't be the same guy.
Okay, that Vegeta's panel is actually from retconned End of Z in the special volume early 2000s. When GT started, there was only the original End of Z without that "I'll surpassed you, Kakarot" panel.
GT vegeta is just awesome he really matured as a character and had actual character development while still pushing his limits and acknowledging that Goku is still his rival and not being annoyed about Goku gaining new superior powers he also became less self centered and egotistical which was amazing new personality GT vegeta is just superior no matter how badass super vegeta can be people just don't give GT a chance because it's "non cannon" or disliked by most of the db community because it didn't do to well with western audiences

@@MinhLe19303 I love the GT canon and the multiple DBZ movie canons, really dope and interesting things with characters that they didn't do in the show (Garlic Jr, Turles, Slug & Psuedo-SSJ, Cooler, Broly, the other Androids, SSJ Goku absorbing the Spirit Bomb, Bojack and the Kais, Gogeta, Dragon Fist) like some of that is arguably cooler than the real canon.
I absolutely love his outfit but I also love how they basically went through with his whole redemption after majin vegeta he actually feels like he would actually be the best friend rather than a rival unlike super vegeta where they basically just went all out with his rival shenanigans
Another hint of his evolution are his jeans in SS4. He is not in warrior outfit but he doesnt need it. He is going to kick your ass and then going to take her daughter to school.
I think the choice to put Vegeta aside made perfect sense. Dragon Ball-Z-GT is Goku’s life story, and Vegeta had a big role in the Z portion of said story because he embodied Goku’s need to come to terms and accept his Saiyan heritage. Vegeta’s redemption is the ultimate proof that Goku’s humanity and compassion are stronger than his lust for battle, because even the once vicious and cruel Saiyan prince was touched and ultimately turned into a good person by that compassion. By then, by the time Vegeta acknowledges Goku’s superiority at the end of the Buu saga, his role as a main character is over. The next and final chapter of the story, which is of course GT, is about Goku revisiting his first memories on Earth, his roots as a human, and that is not something Vegeta is involved with. So it is only natural that he stays on the sidelines. P.S. I think that thing he says in the end of Z about still wanting to defeat Goku isn’t really an indicator that he’s still obsessing. He has moved on already, the idea of surpassing Kakarot doesn’t torment him anymore, nor is it his top priority in life. But he hasn’t given up on it entirely.

He was damaged without his tail. Incomplete. Once he could actually access the missing part of the equation he easily became SS4. He was equals with Goku having gotten tons of energy surpassing his limits. They both cheated, but at the end of the day they were equals. Remember, Goku was weaker as a SS4 and got stronger as time went on as well as additional power given to him.
& plus, they were on a serious time crunch & Omega Shenron wasn't gonna wait around all day. It also shows that Vegeta's willing to let others help him.
He did receive a good power boost. But power boosts don’t give you newer transformations. You have to actually learn how to transform regardless of your strength. So this shows Vegeta had it before the Spell.
With his spikes the mustache looked immaculate on him. I agree 100% with basically everything you said in this video. GT Vegeta is indeed a proper evolution of the character. The thing people should complain about in GT with him is just that he was underutilized, in fact the most screen time he received was when he was possessed by Baby.
GT Vegeta matured in a way that gave him an aura security. You feel like the planet was in good hands with him leading. He felt like a true guardian, protector. Outside of combat he’s more competent than Goku in protecting and being present for what’s most valuable in GT
I'm kinda sad that you didn't mention the scene where Vegeta was gonna fight back against Omega Shenron Minus Ball but Goku push him out. Also, the moment where he acknowledges himself as an Earthling with Saiyan pride before Goku comes.
Vegeta is my favorite character in gt. I love that scene where he talks to pan after goku goes off on the dragon. He has the most serious expression out of anyone there and it’s one of my favorite vegeta moments. I also like buu saga vegeta. If vegeta’s character were to just be judged only up until the Android saga, I’d prefer piccolo in regards to goku’s rivals. The buu saga was when vegeta had finished the same type of character arc piccolo did, starting from his introduction through to the previous arc.

Android Saga: Vegeta is insecure, he always compare himself to Goku and the others. Buu Saga: Vegeta is in denial, he don't wan't to accept that he's not that bloodthirsty saiyan anymore. This when he had a major character development. Super Vegeta: Vegeta had already accept his present self and treat the Earth as his own home. He had a major self-reflection. This is when Vegeta trully became a Z-Warrior, one of the Earth's (and the universe 7's) greatest protectors. GT Vegeta: Vegeta at this point is a literall chad, he is comfortable with himself and had already get over his past insecurities. This is the most mature Vegeta both mentally and appearance wise. This version is the best Vegeta (character wise) in my opinon. Super Vegeta and GT are my favorite versions of Vegeta.
Personally, I do prefer Android Saga Vegeta, but only for the fact that he had already become the protective, family man at the start of it, and by the end of it and he didn't even realise it until Trunks got killed. The complete 180-degree turn on his character in the Buu Saga was only an excuse for him to have another fight with Goku. He was totally family-oriented by then and even somewhat regarded a lot of the other characters as perhaps allies, but not friends... yet. So really, he should have never given in to Babidi's influence, to begin with. GT Vegeta is basically the fully-fleshed-out version of that character, come full-circle from his origins. Super, on the other hand, had his character somewhat regress for what I believe is just fanservice. But on his rivalry with Goku in Super, the rivalry does not directly mean that he wants to surpass Goku but rather use him as a catalyst or inspiration for training further as is shown when Vegeta constantly surpasses him (or other threats). At least until the end of the anime, but following the manga, Vegeta is doing his own thing and still easily keeping up and achieving feats Goku could not. Of course, this is a video primarily focused on GT, so back on track, they're really keeping pace with each other no matter what methods they employ. I personally don't have a problem with Vegeta using technology to attain Super Saiyan 4. In fact, I think Goku's method was rather ridiculous. P.S. Bring back 'moostache'.
Finally a video explaining why GT vegeta is just purely amazing, he is my favorite and will always be my favorite version of vegeta!!!!! I loved his growth as a family man and I truly appreciate a content creator FINALLY giving him the spotlight and explaining these dragon ball fans how amazing and well developed he is, I grew up with z and I grew up loving GT with vegeta being my favorite character throughout it all. In addition to everything you said about Vegeta's character growth in GT, which I 100% agree with, am I the only one who thinks that his look/character design in GT (the the leather pants, biker gloves and vest) is his best look in the entire franchise? i love GT and I never did understand the hatred for it, just like with Star Wars prequels, but back to GT, I actually really love what they did with Goku and Vegeta. By their 50s and 60s, they are no longer enemies and are more friends then anything else. Vegeta is even so much more mellow, thanks to the influence of his family and for that, love it. Love how in the ending series, everyone has properly mature.

Tbh, I love all the Vegetas. You’re obviously correct about GT Vegeta being the best character out of them, having a fully realized character arc and having themes that the audience can resonate with, but god damn it is so fun to watch Z Vegeta’s idiotic antics being followed by him getting his ass clapped hard by the villain. S Vegeta on the other hand, feels like he’s trying to become GT Vegeta, but the writers and fans want him to stay as Z Vegeta
I didn't think an opinion this based could even exist much less a full video about it Once you get a little older you realise that GT Vegeta is pretty much the end goal to strive for Absolute confidence and peace with who he is and what he's done in life with a family and in the best shape of his life. GT Vegeta gaining Super Saiyan 4 felt very in line with his character, he took the right route of using what he had at the time that being the resources offered to him by Bulma. Another thing was GT Vegeta being able to do something which would never have been seen by Android or Namek Saga Vegeta which was him swallowing his own pride and allowing support to achieve SSJ4, again being the one to suggest Fusion. GT Vegeta is what I imagine he would be like if Super allowed for this maturity to come full-circle, imagine DB Super having GT Vegeta's personality, it would just make things better.
Even if Vegeta "cheated" to get super-saiyan 4, the fact the he was able to put his pride aside and allow Bulma to help him achieve greater, not to rival Goku, but to save the earth without being stuck-up and bratty really shows how much he's grown to trust his friends and family to help him out

It is though . Vegeta Gaining Ssj4 that easily is really contrived and very lazy and I'll explain why . Let me state the positives first . 1 , I love the idea of Bulma being the reason Vegeta gets his tail and Ozaru and it makes sense since In original DB and DBZ it's stated and shown that only kid Saiyans are able to regrow their tails as seen with Kid Gohan in the Saiyan saga and Kid Goku in Both og DB and GT. Once adult Vegeta gets his tail cut off it never regrows . 2 , it makes sense Vegeta would gain it easier than Goku since he did have better control over the ozaru than Goku as shown in the Saiyan saga ( I'll get back to this as it's relevant for a criticism later ) 3 , The design is Rad but we already knew that .
On to the critiques . For starters , Let's look at the way Goku achieved ssj4 and how the transformation is supposed to be achieved as a whole . After going Berserk as an Ozaru Goku Needed the Help of Pan and his love for the earth and his memories of the friends he made on earth to go ssj4 . Before that , Golden Ozaru Goku was overcome by pure rage and primal bloodlust . Super Saiyan already makes the user extremely violent and that coupled along with Ozaru made Goku super violent . It was only through Goku's Love for pan , his friends and family , and the earth was Goku finally able to achieve ssj4 . That's how the transformation Ssj4 is truly achieved . A Saiyan heart filled with mindless rage being overcome by immense love for something . The exact opposite of how to get Super Saiyan . Not to mention that Goku had to train and struggle immensely to beat baby , get his tail back , and overcome the ozaru .
Now let's compare that to Vegeta . Yes , Bulma didn't out right give Vegeta ssj4 with the blood waves machine only the ozaru state . But that doesn't really matter since Vegeta controlled the ozaru so quickly . All that really happens is that Vegeta goes berserk for a few seconds and then goes " mY pRiDe is sTronGer thAn the priMal mind " and boom , ssj4 . And before you say " ofc he would get it quicker , he was able to control Ozaru in the Saiyan saga " let me say this . In the Saiyan saga Vegeta was a ruthless and heartless elite warrior . He didn't care about much of anyone . The Ozaru transformation makes the user more Ruthless and bloodthirsty as well as powerful . The Ozaru amplified Vegeta's traits making him more dangerous . You don't get Ssj4 by only being able to control the ozaru . You get it by Being able to overcome the Rage and bloodlust the ozaru brings while still harnessing the power of the ozaru . If that was the case , then Great ape Baby should've been able to go ssj4 . We never got a scene where we saw Bulma trying to calm down Golden Ozaru Vegeta by bringing up the memories of Him , Bulma , Trunks , or Bula . Or Goku trying to use Vegeta's pride as a fighter to calm him down , saying something about them being rivals pushing each other . In fact , Vegeta got the transformation so quickly that it really makes it seem that it was easy for him . Which goes against the theme of the entire franchise , which is " Progression through struggle " and " perseverance in the face of overwhelming adversity " . It would've been better if Bulma ONLY gave Vegeta a tail and he trained to eventually obtain ssj4 . Sorta Like Helping Vegeta help himself . Just like how she did with the Gravity room in the android saga . But that didn't happen .
Lets face facts here , they needed ssj4 Vegeta to Get Ssj4 Gogeta and to progress the plot only and sell stuff . This whole video is very flawed with weak points . Which is strange because I usually agree with alot of Saiyan Scholar's videos . Ssj4 is my favorite transformation of all time , so I'm interested to see how someone would respond to this .
I also agree that it's novel that Vegeta would set aside his pride to let Bulma Power him up . But the transformation is still subpar for the reasons I mentioned earlier .

GT Vegeta is a pretty good showing on how Vegeta has matured and settled in fully as an inhabitant of planet Earth, being a bit more laid back than before. He's grown more and more as a character over the course of the series since his beginning, and he's redeemed himself from his past self somewhat.
I have nothing against the Vegeta in Super but honestly this one just feels a bit more natural in my honest opinion.

Good point on Vegeta getting help from Bulma not being much different than Goku getting help from the Old Kai. I think people perceive it as cheating because Vegeta could just turn into an Oosaru and control the SSJ4 form instantly, because he trained to be in control of that form. Whereas Goku never learned to be in control as an Oosaru so he went on a little rampage, and it felt more "hard-earned". In that sense that advantage of Vegeta could be perceived as "cheating".

GT Vegeta is the final evolution of his character. Literally, Vegeta gets a chance to fight Goku but Goku's stomach rumbles and they just laugh and don't even fight. He doesn't even care about his rivalry that much now and the speech when he calls the earth is home is just fantastic.
It's a shame GT Vegeta never became a thing in Fighter Z or Xenoverse 2, definately liked him the most of versions of Vegeta.

The point I knew Vegeta had grown as a character was is the Buu arc. The episode Final Atonement showed us that, the final battle with Kid Buu also showed us that Vegeta really cares a lot and GT is the continuation of this. Quick note about the part where you talk about the final panel of the DB manga where Vegeta's still obsessing about defeating Gokū... that panel was a new addition in the 2004 Kanzenban release of the manga and was not present in the original print from 1995 (hell, you can even tell by looking at it that the art style is very different from the other preceding original panels as it's in Toriyama’s more modernized drawing style from that time), thus the way Vegeta was written in GT is more in line with how he was originally written at the end of the manga/Z anime, whereas his shitty, regressed characterization in Super matched more with that retconned Kanzenban ending.

Hell yeah, his physique, outfit, overall moral quality and thinking, a responsible family man with a badass attitude and regardless how he did it, this time he even manage to catch up to Goku as an SSj4.
I like gt vegeta and I respect that he his changed massively from when we saw him in the buu saga. But I have to disagree that super vegeta is stagnant to s certain extent in the granolah arc after vegeta and granolah fight the way he reacted to goku getting involved was stupid. But everything else is good for vegeta, especially in the goku black arc. Where he shows how proud he is of trunks not messing around with goku black and in both the manga and anime was about to kill him. In the tournament of power we see vegeta think about his family before the tournament and could care less about a tournament when he has a new baby on the way, and only goes ounce bulla is born. His interactions with goku for the most part especially in the tournament when he he gives goku some ki “kakarot I leave the rest to you”. Another good moment was when he fought god of destruction Toppo where similar to majin vegeta Toppo gave up who he was for the sake of power and vegeta having done that in the past and knowing goes against Toppo and comes out on top kind of symbolically having vegeta fight his majin self. So while super vegeta isn’t the best and isn’t as consistent as gt vegeta I think he still has a good amount of moments that make him a pretty good iteration of the character for me at least.

I think overall it's a silly comparison between GT Vegeta and Super Vegeta since they have such a big age gap. GT Vegeta had basically two grown kids while during Super Bulma gives birth to their second child, like of course they can't be the same guy.

Okay, that Vegeta's panel is actually from retconned End of Z in the special volume early 2000s. When GT started, there was only the original End of Z without that "I'll surpassed you, Kakarot" panel.
GT vegeta is just awesome he really matured as a character and had actual character development while still pushing his limits and acknowledging that Goku is still his rival and not being annoyed about Goku gaining new superior powers he also became less self centered and egotistical which was amazing new personality GT vegeta is just superior no matter how badass super vegeta can be people just don't give GT a chance because it's "non cannon" or disliked by most of the db community because it didn't do to well with western audiences

@@MinhLe19303 I love the GT canon and the multiple DBZ movie canons, really dope and interesting things with characters that they didn't do in the show (Garlic Jr, Turles, Slug & Psuedo-SSJ, Cooler, Broly, the other Androids, SSJ Goku absorbing the Spirit Bomb, Bojack and the Kais, Gogeta, Dragon Fist) like some of that is arguably cooler than the real canon.
I absolutely love his outfit but I also love how they basically went through with his whole redemption after majin vegeta he actually feels like he would actually be the best friend rather than a rival unlike super vegeta where they basically just went all out with his rival shenanigans
Another hint of his evolution are his jeans in SS4. He is not in warrior outfit but he doesnt need it. He is going to kick your ass and then going to take her daughter to school.
I think the choice to put Vegeta aside made perfect sense. Dragon Ball-Z-GT is Goku’s life story, and Vegeta had a big role in the Z portion of said story because he embodied Goku’s need to come to terms and accept his Saiyan heritage. Vegeta’s redemption is the ultimate proof that Goku’s humanity and compassion are stronger than his lust for battle, because even the once vicious and cruel Saiyan prince was touched and ultimately turned into a good person by that compassion. By then, by the time Vegeta acknowledges Goku’s superiority at the end of the Buu saga, his role as a main character is over. The next and final chapter of the story, which is of course GT, is about Goku revisiting his first memories on Earth, his roots as a human, and that is not something Vegeta is involved with. So it is only natural that he stays on the sidelines.
P.S. I think that thing he says in the end of Z about still wanting to defeat Goku isn’t really an indicator that he’s still obsessing. He has moved on already, the idea of surpassing Kakarot doesn’t torment him anymore, nor is it his top priority in life. But he hasn’t given up on it entirely.

I love how GT Vegeta has considered Earth as his new home in GT yet GT Goku turning SSJ4 from his Super Oozaru, GT Goku looks like as he is remembering his race's (lost) history/starting point as if he is remembering Saiyan pride
I've been a Vegeta fan since the Ginyus but I've loved his journey growing into the grumpy good guy he is now.
That picture of Vegeta sitting with his extended family is really some of my favourite characters all in one place, I always smile every time I see each of them.

I never got why people complained about Vegeta using a machine to go ssj4 when he LITERALLY USED BABIDI’S SPELL TO GET SSJ2!!! It almost like some Dragon ball fans have double standards am I right?
I don't care about that part they turned vegeta into useless fodder equivalent to the Z fighters, If he wasn't getting his ass whooped by the villain he was being used by the villain Lols
He was damaged without his tail. Incomplete. Once he could actually access the missing part of the equation he easily became SS4.
He was equals with Goku having gotten tons of energy surpassing his limits. They both cheated, but at the end of the day they were equals. Remember, Goku was weaker as a SS4 and got stronger as time went on as well as additional power given to him.
& plus, they were on a serious time crunch & Omega Shenron wasn't gonna wait around all day. It also shows that Vegeta's willing to let others help him.
You would have had a point if you said he manipulated Babidi to give him more power but he already had SSJ2 before that.
He did receive a good power boost. But power boosts don’t give you newer transformations. You have to actually learn how to transform regardless of your strength. So this shows Vegeta had it before the Spell.
With his spikes the mustache looked immaculate on him.

The thing people should complain about in GT with him is just that he was underutilized, in fact the most screen time he received was when he was possessed by Baby.

GT Vegeta matured in a way that gave him an aura security. You feel like the planet was in good hands with him leading. He felt like a true guardian, protector. Outside of combat he’s more competent than Goku in protecting and being present for what’s most valuable in GT

I'm kinda sad that you didn't mention the scene where Vegeta was gonna fight back against Omega Shenron Minus Ball but Goku push him out. Also, the moment where he acknowledges himself as an Earthling with Saiyan pride before Goku comes.
Vegeta had the best character arc
Vegeta is my favorite character in gt. I love that scene where he talks to pan after goku goes off on the dragon. He has the most serious expression out of anyone there and it’s one of my favorite vegeta moments. I also like buu saga vegeta. If vegeta’s character were to just be judged only up until the Android saga, I’d prefer piccolo in regards to goku’s rivals. The buu saga was when vegeta had finished the same type of character arc piccolo did, starting from his introduction through to the previous arc.
I didnt know why I liked GT Vegeta so much but damn you hit it right on the head, I wish Super followed the story concepts that GT couldnt deliver on.

Android Saga: Vegeta is insecure, he always compare himself to Goku and the others.
Buu Saga: Vegeta is in denial, he don't wan't to accept that he's not that bloodthirsty saiyan anymore. This when he had a major character development.
Super Vegeta: Vegeta had already accept his present self and treat the Earth as his own home. He had a major self-reflection. This is when Vegeta trully became a Z-Warrior, one of the Earth's (and the universe 7's) greatest protectors.
GT Vegeta: Vegeta at this point is a literall chad, he is comfortable with himself and had already get over his past insecurities. This is the most mature Vegeta both mentally and appearance wise. This version is the best Vegeta (character wise) in my opinon.
Super Vegeta and GT are my favorite versions of Vegeta.
Personally, I do prefer Android Saga Vegeta, but only for the fact that he had already become the protective, family man at the start of it, and by the end of it and he didn't even realise it until Trunks got killed.
The complete 180-degree turn on his character in the Buu Saga was only an excuse for him to have another fight with Goku.
He was totally family-oriented by then and even somewhat regarded a lot of the other characters as perhaps allies, but not friends... yet.
So really, he should have never given in to Babidi's influence, to begin with.
GT Vegeta is basically the fully-fleshed-out version of that character, come full-circle from his origins.
Super, on the other hand, had his character somewhat regress for what I believe is just fanservice.
But on his rivalry with Goku in Super, the rivalry does not directly mean that he wants to surpass Goku but rather use him as a catalyst or inspiration for training further as is shown when Vegeta constantly surpasses him (or other threats).
At least until the end of the anime, but following the manga, Vegeta is doing his own thing and still easily keeping up and achieving feats Goku could not.
Of course, this is a video primarily focused on GT, so back on track, they're really keeping pace with each other no matter what methods they employ. I personally don't have a problem with Vegeta using technology to attain Super Saiyan 4. In fact, I think Goku's method was rather ridiculous.

Finally a video explaining why GT vegeta is just purely amazing, he is my favorite and will always be my favorite version of vegeta!!!!! I loved his growth as a family man and I truly appreciate a content creator FINALLY giving him the spotlight and explaining these dragon ball fans how amazing and well developed he is, I grew up with z and I grew up loving GT with vegeta being my favorite character throughout it all. I really didn't understand why people criticized gt vegeta so much, because of his stache? Because he "cheated"? I called bullshit and all of those "critiques" and I'm so glad I'm not the only one who sees that. I hope more and more people finally understand why GT vegeta is a great variant of vegeta. In addition to everything you said about Vegeta's character growth in GT, which I 100% agree with, am I the only one who thinks that his look/character design in GT (the the leather pants, biker gloves and vest) is his best look in the entire franchise? Seriously, it's frikkin' amazing, and I hate that it isn't in more video games.

i love GT and I never did understand the hatred for it, just like with Star Wars prequels, but back to GT, I actually really love what they did with Goku and Vegeta. By their 50s and 60s, they are no longer enemies and are more friends then anything else. Vegeta is even so much more mellow, thanks to the influence of his family and for that, love it. Love how in the ending series, everyone has properly mature.
GT Vegeta deserved ssj4 more than Goku. Change my mind.

Hey Scholar, is there enough reference to go over how strong Dragon Fist is? The move outright destroyed Omega Shenron so it has to be nearly as powerful as the universal spirit bomb. (Probably also the good energy neutralized his bad energy more than just killing him alone.)

Tbh, I love all the Vegetas. You’re obviously correct about GT Vegeta being the best character out of them, having a fully realized character arc and having themes that the audience can resonate with, but god damn it is so fun to watch Z Vegeta’s idiotic antics being followed by him getting his ass clapped hard by the villain. S Vegeta on the other hand, feels like he’s trying to become GT Vegeta, but the writers and fans want him to stay as Z Vegeta

GT Vegeta gaining Super Saiyan 4 felt very in line with his character, he took the right route of using what he had at the time that being the resources offered to him by Bulma.
Another thing was GT Vegeta being able to do something which would never have been seen by Android or Namek Saga Vegeta which was him swallowing his own pride and allowing support to achieve SSJ4, again being the one to suggest Fusion.
GT Vegeta is what I imagine he would be like if Super allowed for this maturity to come full-circle, imagine DB Super having GT Vegeta's personality, it would just make things better.
