I think you just inspired me to watch this show. The premise reminds me of the Chistina Ricci film 'Now and Then' that came out ages ago. But yeah, there aren't too many stories that go deep showing women just being themselves and the dynamics of their relationships with each other. I hate it, but historically male dominated literature and movies only represent women when they are concerned about men. This is refreshing.
It’s so refreshing! Christina Ricci is INSANELY good on this show and I actually cut out a part in this video where I mention her performance and my love for Now and Then 😂 I think you should def check it out!
Thanks! Was looking for recommendations after obsessing over YJ
I just binge watched season 1 and I am obsessed as well! I can't wait for season 2! I loved my Best Friend's Exorcism, but unfortunately I didn't like Wilder Girls. Goddess of Filth and Fantasticland are on my TBR for this summer :)
Love this video idea!
Thank you!
Thank you for the recommendations - I gotta track these down definitely!
And yikes, what an amazing experience it was to see 'Yellowjackets'. I don't know how I'll manage to stay patient before season 2 is released!
I know! I think the fact that we had to wait a week between each episode makes it somewhat easier to deal with, but it’s still hard lol
@@mandysmorgueofhorror My hope is that there'll be loads of excellent new horror this year to distract us all. Fingers (claws?) crossed!
Thank you for sharing your horror wisdom 🖤
I'm reading Goddess of Filth right now & it is so good. I am loving it so far.
It was such a nice surprise that subverts the possession story!
This is amazing, what a great video idea!!
I bought Fantasticland a while ago but I still haven’t read it (as what happens with all my purchased books cause I always have a stack of library books). Need to pick that up this month, we need more books set in theme parks.
Have you watched Archive 81? Totally different from Yellow Jackets, but I really enjoyed it. It’s on Netflix.
Thank you! And I’m dying to read Fantasticland. I’m currently binging Archive 81 and loving it!
@@mandysmorgueofhorror Awesome!
Fantasticland is really good! Definitely worth a read when you get a chance.
It sounds awesome!
This was great, thanks for the recs! I too am completely fucking obsessed with Yellowjackets!!
Thank you for watching. Isn’t it so addictive?! Can’t wait for season 2
