these ones come on the s-line version of the 8v model, in the lower variant they come with plastic where you have chrome and with chrome where you have the piano black color, i got the plastic variant for cheap but ordered new metal inside rings from the aliexpress
Thanks very much mate! I believe you can still fit these without filing down the vent, however the plastic casing that unclips still has to be removed from the vent. And of course you’d have to trim the dash much more!

Nice bro 👌🏼 yes mate, using some of the dash material you cut out, you can causally put some back in making it a far tighter fit, all of mine are well in place, but still spin properly

I was tempted to insert the red fins as seen in some of the RS3 8V models, but the black just suits my interior better 👌🏼

@@AutoBay like you were i'm concerned about trimming the dash but it's all behind the scenes and I doubt I will ever go back to the original vents!

Are they flush fit chrome to dash? Like original or are they slightly bigger??
They are slightly bigger mate, not 100% flush but you cannot notice
Just finished mine. Any ideas how to reinforce them a bit so they don't spin when you turn the ring, or pop out when you use the pull?

use teflon tape, round as many time around as needed, until you get a tight fit
I wanted to retro fit these to a 8v facelift. Ive seen it done its possible but any insights?
