Good video. Just got a 2019 Subaru outback and absolutely love it.
Just picked up a 2020 forester. Found your channel. Awesome content
We test drove a lifted forester. My wife liked it better than the stock ride. Was looking at options for lifting it, and tires
Good times brother! The subi is looking good. Happy New Year!
Thanks Rick! Happy New Year!
Go little Foz go! 👍👍
Great video thanks.
Nice, thanks! :)
When *_VDC_* in forester ?
What was the incline degree number on Subaru dashboard? Most I done in snow, is 11+ with no traction control loss.
This does not have an incline degree indicator.
Nice video, I own a FXT and it's good :p BTW, what is the music in your video?
Not even sure, something royalty free I found on YT. No source required so I didn't link in vid desc.
Pfffffffffft, What are you talking about Grass Hopper? The Suby handled that without a strain. I was waiting for the spinning and sliding side ways, didn't happen. Happy New New Year Lance, Sara and HENRY!
Haha! Thanks Randy! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
Thank man! Happy New Year!
I just got my sister a 2018 forester so I’ll be watching your videos and sending her your links…. What’s with the gun? I’m new to your channel so I’m legit just curious
Hello Sir! What hitch and spare tire rack system are you running on your forester? It looks soooooo good. 👍
ngoalpo I have a video on this on my channel page.
Wouldn't big tires change speedometer ratio ?
Yes, changing tire overall diameter whether going bigger or smaller will change the speedometer reading.
Do the boxer wheels need hub centric rings?
No.
Nice demonstration. Which tires are you using?
Says right in the description, bfg ko2's
@@cuzimaluzer777 thanks 👍
Greezy_Chef
can you try *BFG* *_KM3_* ?
Linked in the video description. LT235/75r15 KO2
@@HighjakSecondary Thanks 🌞
I love foresters
I want to sell my STI and get a Forester
edit: the STI has a turn radius of a bus, horrible. hows the Forester?
What tires you running on this vid ?
I have had a Subaru forester 1997 (automatic) from new, that has been great for all the years with very little to do other than annual services. However, recently I have had a lot of vibration & shuddering on the wheels when making tight turns (left or right). It is difficult to identify which wheels the noise or shudder comes from and I don't feel much through the steering wheel. I have had all difs replace that has reduced the frequency but not always. We hope it isn't the automatic gear box but has anyone got any ideas what to do next.
george manson tighten/torque the wheel nuts a bit more see if that helps eliminate the vibration
@@sjrickli7 Thanks Ricki, it is good to hear from someone else on their thoughts. I will check out your idea. Thanks again. We don't want to loose our car..... she is part of the family.....we have had her more than 21 years and has been a faithful work-horse.
@@sjrickli7 SHE LIVES AGAIN!!!!!!…..an interesting item at 3 minutes to 4:40 minutes in the attached video ( czcams.com/video/GP7TInt4q84/video.html )..... this was exactly what I experienced with my 1998 Subaru Forester but no-one could diagnose the problem.... £3k was spent/wasted with my Local Subaru dealer trying to fix it... but to no effect. Then I found the attached video link.... and then I found a good mechanic willing to do the work..... and we got our car back (with new solenoid in the transmission) and she runs great..... Well worth the effort.... these Subaru's can go on forever (almost) George (London, UK)
VCD 50/50 symmetrical still is best
Are these tires snow rated?
Yes, these are M+S and have the three-peak mountain snow flake rating.
Honestly.. this isnt even a challenge for the forester. Especially with good tires. Maybe... if there was 4-6” of snow on that hill would it have given it a run for its money. Any I still would bet that it could eventually make it up.
The Subaru makes it look easy from the exterior you're right, but VDC is definitely working to limit spin on the wheels that are slipping. I'll attempt this again in more snow if possible. I think it'd be fun to see this next to an older 4x4 with open diffs and some of the newer 4x4 systems like the Toyotas with A-TRAC.
A handgun is pretty much a necessary part of a car review?
Yes.
Yes
Castor G Because dem illegals, doncha know?
Are you really that upset about it to make a comment?
@@airmanma - So do you have any reason to believe that he's prejudiced, or is it YOU who's actually the prejudiced one here? Oh, but _that_ could _never_ be, because _you're_ the open-minded, *good* guy....right?
why the gun?
Why not?
Jean-Francois Simard.......Because he lives in America. And we have rights here
omg he scares me with that gun
zomg
He is so macho and sexy with that Beard and gun
@@jpch8814 maybe little penis
@@lilpeppa117G Classic anti-everything response... 'zomg someone has something that I don't like or think they should have... must have a small cock'. I might not have any cock for all you know, I could be transgender, why would you assume so much? Tolerance... bro.
It's good to see another Subaru owner that's also a gun owner.
The Forester was never NOT going to make that climb. If you turn off VDC, you’ll be amazed just where it’ll go. My Outback has smashed much deeper snow/ climbs than this on bald summer tyres.
