BWCA September 2021 - EP 14 - LIS Loop

A canoe camping trip in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Entry Point 14 (Little Indian Sioux North). September 18th - 24th.
Planning for this trip in 2021 was crazy! This EP was closed early in the season due to fires just north of Lac La Coix. Then we moved west to Knife Lake. Then the entire BWCA was closed so I moved it to Voyageurs. Then everything opened again so it was back to our original trip. Our original plan was 4 guys but we were down to 2. After all the adjustments I was just happy to be going back.

Gear Notes:
* First Hammock Trip: ENO Jungle Nest + Housefly Rain Tarp + Spark Topquilt + Zeppelin Underquilt from UGQ. We had 3 overnight frost warnings but I was toasty each night and i've never slept better on a BWCA trip.
* CCS Tarp + Rigeline Stuffsack: This was my second trip with a CCS tarp and we weathered a huge storm and a complete rainout day was spent under it. Worth the money 100%
* Arborist's Throw Weight: It's a small canvas weighted projectile with a ring for easy tie-ons. After years of using the ‘tie-rock-to-rope-toss-and-hope’ method... this is great inexpensive gear addition that will save you time and frustration.

I left ep 14 same day as you all.. looks like we shared slim lake that night.. thanks for sharing the trip.. yall didnt leave a canoe car pad kit at the ep did ya?
