No down payment, no long-term commitment, no hidden costs. Just one clear monthly payment that includes the usage of the car, maintenance, and insurance coverage. In addition, Care by Volvo includes other common services related to car ownership, including protection for excess wear, road hazard protection for tires and wheels, as well as roadside assistance.

Congrats... I’m a Volvo man since the late 80’s. My favorite models are mostly way back in the 90’s like 850 of 1993, 960 of 1995 and S80 of 1997. After a long wait of nineteen years from 1998 to 2017, finally the all new designed flagship S90 was rolled out and it Volvo became my dream car again.
But it disappoints me in the price point since after all the years the Volvo flagship has no intention to catch up with BMW 5 series, Audi S6, Mercedes E and it’s even cheaper than Genesis, this makes Volvo can’t move up to a real luxury car as it is supposed to be.

At least one of them did have to have the timing components replaced along the way, but it was well worth it. I have two Mercury Grand Marquis (same car as the Crown Vic) the '06 has 381,000 miles on it, no engine or transmission work, and it still runs like new. The other one I just bought recently. For anyone curious on what the "Free for two years" refers to
Care by Volvo is basically a subscription service that encompasses all the car costs into one ongoing subscription, including usage of the car itself. Instead of multiple payments, in Volvo's own words on their website, "It’s an easy and flexible alternative to buying or leasing a new car. No down payment, no long-term commitment, no hidden costs. Just one clear monthly payment that includes the usage of the car, maintenance, and insurance coverage". So he basically only pays for gas for two years.
However it doesn't look like they took his Volvo off his hands. After two years, he can either continue going with the subscription or go back to driving the 740 GLE (No sources confirmed that the dealership took his old car off his hands). Admittedly still a generous gesture considering the dealership is paying at least $20k for the subscription, but obviously a far cry from others just flat out giving a car away (Ex. Toyota themselves exchanged a man's Tundra for a new one after it hit 1 million miles)

@@MrZgui415You've been loyal for three decades put a million miles on a car giving us all this free advertisement at least we can do is give you a free rental car for 2 years in exchange for your million mile car so you will have to buy a 60 or $70,000 car that you won't be able to work on when the time comes

I thought he gets to keep it... It seems like the little inclusive maintance, insurance, tires, etc package is for 2 years. Least I hope.

@@Cranialdrillingit is a package I actually have it because my wife and I like their SUVs and it is stupid to not just lease a car if you just get a new car every few years as we do. The Volvo thing is great because we can change the colors often or if we are going somewhere we can get a different car that fits the destination. It is essentially just like renting but you are a little more responsible with the cars. I have had it from the beginning of this program so I don't know if my contract allows me more freedoms than other packages but you get a car and you pay for gas and that is the only thing not included. Taxes could not be included but for a decent number a month you get a new car and only pay one place. This is also the first time in history it has been the same price or cheaper to get a new car vs a 2 or less year old car. Which will disappear just as quick as it came. This also worked out for me seeing my truck and car were leases and I finished the leases out bought them outright and could have sold to a dealer for profit but sold privately then leased the new ones well one the other I have to wait on delivery.

@@jonlamontagne yeah I understand the package. What I didn't understand is if this guy gets to keep the car.. Like are they giving him the car for two years? Or are they giving him the car to keep forever... And including the package for only two years?
