Petite dress & regular cropped trousers- short, size 12, age 59!

- Today I'm trying on a summer clothes haul from Matalan, including a dress from there petite range, some T- shirts and two pairs of regular cropped trousers.

The first dress reminded me of a milk maid from Austria I expected you to start singing the hills are alive with the sound of music lol😂

Hi, I really liked the dress but it did look a bit like a traditional costume. Both of the trousers were nice but maybe a bit short. The white top with the frill was lovely, and so was the cover up x

Wow a Matalan haul. I loved all the clothes you got from there. That dress looks lovely on you. I would wear that if I was a size 12 lol.These are ankle grazers you have on with the white top. I have had some nice pieces from there and are cheap. I love the waffled textured top on you and so is the beach cover up. I cannot wear those sandals with the toe post. I got funny feet. Now got that plantar fasciitis so I have to have arch build up and the pain in your feet you would never believe. So am going to start on Magnesium when I get my delivery from Amazon

Another great haul, I'm loving monochrome too this year (check out video coming out Tuesday, lol) I think it just shows how in sync we are 💖. The dress did over power you but I would have enjoyed watching, had you broke into traditional dance 💃. I loved the white frill top, what a bargain and liked the polka dot trousers but understand when you said they felt like pjs! xx

Hi Rhian well the dress was pretty but half expected you to start yodelling 🤣 the white T-shirt a definite, the white trousers loved them, the spotty bottoms are cute but a bit pj? The coverup is fab and the stretchy white/cream top I didn’t really like. I bought one about three weeks ago and sized up but still had to breathe in! 😂 lovely video Rhian x😘

I like you in the spotty trousers and white tee shirt, you made me giggle about ‘pjs’, my beautiful granddaughter once asked me, when I popped in, ‘Nana why are you still in your pyjamas’ 😇 needless to say I never wore the outfit again 🤣.

Yes, the range they have for petite is quite small.
Frilly sleeve top is nice Rhi The dress, I think you know you won’t keep it. Don’t like the fact you can see the front pockets of the white trousers through the material. The black and white dress is lovely. Ive bought some good stuff from Matalan recently. X❤

Morning Rhi I really enjoy your videos. I agree the dress was good value but reminded me of traditional costume too😂 The first white top was lovely and nice with the polka dot trousers. I thought the trouser length was ok with your flat sandals. Not mad about the white trousers. Trouser length is such a pain when you are petite. The cover-up was really nice on you😊

Like the white top with cap sleeves. First dress definitely holiday evening wear. Have you tried EWM? Have some nice stuff in there and cropped (21in) trousers which fit me, another shortie.

Hi Rhian…. enjoyed watching your Matalan haul. I agree with you about the dress, just didn’t suit you, to be honest unsure it would suit anybody it’s a bit theatrical isn’t it? That white tee shirt is a real bargain going to get one of those myself , the other one I’m sure would look good on you too in the bigger size. I’ve had similar white trousers capri style from Matalan in that material and they are a dream to wash, no ironing had them for a couple of years. I’m just back from Majorca and noticed everyone wears cover ups now opposed to sarongs that one looked good on you. As you say more dressy than going to the bar for a drink. Xx

Loved the white top with cap sleeve and the black & white cover up. The 1st dress looked like a traditional folk costume so despite being of nice quality fabric definately a thumbs down on that. The trourers - a rather odd length so no to them as well and finally the top with the cross body seam and gathers- just wasn"t quite right and agree with the caption you added saying was too tight. Really liked how you presented a preview and followed up the try on with a brief summary xx
