That pantsuit Helen! Is🔥🔥🔥. And I love the white tunic on you as well. What I do with my clothes that wrinkle easily like linen etc, is to use spray starch & iron them. They look crisp for much longer. I don't think a steamer would work the same way though.

Exactly the same Helen , brought up as a child wearing skirts as I was considered chubby in the 70s and the rubbing was excruciating! I was always puffing talc up my skirt too. Discovered trousers at 18 and never wore a dress until 50s until the onset of chub shorts ❤️ chub rub is a great product to rub in too . Love your videos , you always bring some sunshine 💛

I find I have to shorten petite or short from M&S now, never used to have to do that. Years ago, maybe 1990’s I used to love Hammels for their petite ranges, shame 😕 thank you for your hauls, it’s always interesting to see what is out there and love seeing Dolly giving her opinion too.

Loved it all! The first tunic was a lovely print and colour on you and I am loving the ethnic vibe with that relaxed collar style! The spotty dress was particularly flattering on your figure, the suit, should have had the style of trousers like the brown ones as they flattered you and looked ultra smart.....the jacket and waistcoat, are a no brainer and they did make you look very chic! Cannot wait to see the rest of the haul....thanks for the video...I also have a steamer and they beat having to get the ironing board out any day!

A lovely haul in your hall Helen. I particularly liked the first item, loved the colour on you which gave me ideas for a dress that has a pleated front to wear trousers underneath!! Helen. I liked most of the clothes. Linen cotton blend is so fresh and cool for the Summer. Although it does crinkle it keeps you cool I think. The cream/white pant suit is just lovely on you. I need to get a steamer.

I'm in my 30's and I love M&S. They do some lovely 'fashion forward' pieces but in a classic way. Very wearable. Love your hauls Helen. I would definitely wear the waistcoat and brown trouser combo. So smart and stylish x

Hello! My favourites are the white dress with black polka dots which has a lovely neckline, and the zebra-ish print everyday dress. I also love the coral gingham, but the mismatch of the checks at waist line would annoy me too. Maybe add a white belt to cover the join? The white suit is very classy for a special occasion.

My favourites were spotty dress, the suit and brown trousers. 😊. I've bought the first shift dress in black n white got away with a size 14 normally 16, but they are quite generous. One happy Mr O 😂 x thanks for sharing your haul in your hall.

Choc trousers look so good on you! I’ve got a couple of those shift dresses bought from H & M so cool in the heat but don’t bend over, total eclipse!! I can’t be doing with creased dresses I end up looking like a bag lady!

The first tunic is very good on the neckline and sleeves . The gingham dress is lovely. The brown and white dress is good . I always wear a pair of cotton or viscose shorts under dress . Have done for years . The spotty dress is lovely altogether. I don't find that viscose creases. ! The white suit is very good . The brown trousers are excellent. Love Kay

Hi Helen! I agree about the seersucker dress... Not only did the pattern match up centre front, it did not "sit right" on your derriere 😊. The spotty dress was quite hyped on social media, & deffo put your shoes on first, & wear a long slip underneath. Like you, I have numerous short style knickers, & mentioned this style of underwear in a preview post. Halloo from another H B! x

Just a tip Helen I worked in retail all my life and different shops have different sizing. It’s a bit like buying a bra, an M&S bra will be different to say a Matalan bra same goes for clothing.

Looking forward to the Seasalt haul Helen, I buy loads of their clothes. Will be nice to see what you choose. Loved you in the tiger print dress and it was so reasonable at £25. The cream jacket may have looked really nice over the tiger print dress if the white/cream was similar. Wonder what the lovely brown trousers would look like with the very first tunic you tried?

Patrick Grant on GB Sewing Bee would have been niggled by that gingham dress not matching the checks too ! He's a stickler for it. Anyway, loved the first two linen tunics the best as I like unfitted things, and the white one in particular looked super cool and fresh for a hot day. Been 25 degrees here in Scotland today, unbelievable 😀

Yes me too. I bought it in black and white. It's generous in size. Normally size 16 I got away with a 14. 😊 made my day. 🎉
Happily as a youngster I never needed chub rub shorts and I can still remember the joy of wearing a summer dress and ankle socks to school and feeling the breeze around my legs (that was when we had pleasant low 70s weather most of the summer). You're spot on about body shape though. Both my granddaughters have big legs and suffer from chafing. In my teens we wore 15 denier tights which solved the problem but those seem to have gone out of fashion!
A lot of girls wear the shorts now for modesty - especially at school. Just glad there is a solution xx
Lovely M and S haul Helen, they seem to be getting better with sizing length wise with their dreeses, im 5ft 4in tall, and it used to be so hard to find a midi dress that didnt fall around my ankles and completely swamp me! The clothes all looked lovely on you. Xx

I agree with you Helen about the shorts. I got my first pair in Australia a few years ago. I went looking for them in the UK and couldn't find any. They must be a demand for them now because you can get them in M & S, Primark and even in the supermarkets. Love wearing my dresses now. 👗👗

I remember afew years ago when we were on holiday in France and I had chub rub I used to just lift my dress up and put the talc on down the supermarket aile were nobody could see ,but thinking back the security might have 😊 I don't get it now and I'm a big lass .as you say different body types x

The not wearing trousers must be a generational thing! I always thought I was too big to wear them even though I used to be a size 14. Wore only skirts or dresses for years and years.
I agree that chubb rub shorts are a godsend. Back in the 80's I used to wear lycira cycling shorts under my skirts but oh were they hot and sweaty.
Love the first dress, the t shirt dress and the brown trousers actually looked better with the waistcoat than the cream ones did.

Did love the first tunic, and loved the blazer and vest, but was it my tablet that made the trousers look more white, a surprise actually. Really need something like the 25 pound dress, but to get it here would have me pay 50 with freight and vat. Not a friend of Brexit that way. I loved to buy from MS, so good for the grandkids, well thats gone. Thanks Helen ❤

Great haul, did you keep anything? Agree the suit looked lovely. If you liked the spot dress but not the frill on the sleeves you could turn the frill upside down dear the elastic.!

Got my tote ordered! Chose black because the interior of my car is black. It won't be as easily seen if I leave it in the car with things in it..
Oh, I do have an upgrade type of suggestion. Bought a cute raffia type bag at Target. Loved the bag, but hated the handle. Went to a craft store and bought a yard of "gold" chain, used the clip on clasp from the original handle, and within 10 minutes I had a great shoulder or cross body bag for summer. I'm debating on weaving the raffia from the old handle through the chain for a Chanel look or leaving it as is so I can use it with other bags in the future.
Like I said, it's just a crafty type of upgrade. Love your channel!!

Hi Helen, I bought the black and white throw on dress last year and I love it. I sometimes wear it with a white shirt that ties at the waist. Handy for the house or sitting in the garden, even going out. In 😜fact I bought the same style but different colour, this year. 😁

I really liked the fist tunic dress Helen. Love those colours. The zebra print 'everyday' dress and the brown trousers were a super flattering fit. The trouser suit was lovely, but I personally wouldn't have an opportunity to wear it, my lifestyle is quite casual. Like you when I was younger I didn't like to wear trousers, silly because I am only 5ft and was an 8/10, but thought my bum was big??? For about 3 years I have wanted some white jeans, but felt that I needed to wear dark coloiurs on my bottom half. I turned 70 in May and bought myself some white jeans from Marks, they are the slim crop range I got them in 12 regular and they are just the right length and look fine. We all have our hang ups don't we.❤

Very nice as usual,think you should keep the brown pants.Anything that is miss matched always says cheap to me,so unless you wore a belt the orange dress is a no.The white tunic,gave me PJ vibes,I don’t know why.Everything else was very nice,and with the polka dots,I really couldn’t see the creases.😊
