The end is getting near. I’m so grateful for the memories that he’s given us, by hosting this show, for so many years, in his career.
He will be missed, oh well I have been a wheel watcher for over 25 years and have a spin I’d never won anything but I enjoyed the show all them years. Pat is a great guy and will miss him.

I was born in the 60's, and as a teenager I was too busy to watch this show (unfortunately this was a mistake).
However, when I joined the Military, I watched it on Ships, in the Barracks, in the Hospital, or when I came home.
Now that I am in the last years of the 50's, I cannot believe that this is coming to end.

My family will miss you so much, Pat! My kids have grown up watching you. We met you in LA at the show about 20 years ago and still have the photo we got together framed and shown to friends. When it's all said and done, there won't be another outstanding game show host for WOF like Pat Sajak! I grew up watching this man and WOF since 1985! Even watching him on The Pat Sajak Show on CBS!

You and Vanna White are one of daytime tv's dynamic duos for years and I enjoyed every minute of it since childhood. I am going to truly miss seeing you on TV every night at 7:30 because you are one of my favorite game show hosts. Thanks for all of the memories and all of the great memorable contestants you had on the show during your successful run. This is going to be one bittersweet week for all longtime fans of Wheel as we reach the end of an era.

My brother is gone now, but he used to drink all night, and in the morning as soon as the sun was barely coming up, he would open his bedroom window, which was always upstairs, and he would scream good morning Vietnam! He wanted to go into the military so bad, but he could not pass the test after my first has been make sure he could pass the test! I think he flunked it on purpose. I don’t know why, but all his years when he was on this earth, he always tried to tell people he was in Vietnam! Until I met a Vietnam veteran, and married him. And he sent my brother straight about telling people that he went to Vietnam. My brother wasn’t even old enough. But we do miss my brother.

Well, it's been a solid 43 year run for Pat as he started way back in December 1981 (he was 36 at the time the change over happened) succeeding Chuck Woolery's seven year run and has been at it ever since then and even more so just over two years later in September 1983 when the current version started it's run and now as we enter the final week of the man's tenure as host i can say it's been a fun ride and especially for me who grew up with him like so many others in watching the show in the late '90s/early 2000's and ever since.
Crazy to think as of a few years ago that Pat surpassed Bob Barker's impressive 35 years on The Price is Right for longest running game show host. He's definitely earned his place in the upper echelon of game show history.

I still can't believe Pat Sajak is leaving Wheel Of Fortune. I'm still going to miss Pat Sakak and Vanna White talking before the end credits, seeing Pat Sajak and Vanna White in different countries, the Wheel Around The World episodes, the Disney Secret Santa week episodes, seeing Pat Sajak talking to the contestants, the different suits that Pat Sajak wears, hearing Jim Thornton introduce Pat Sajak and Vanna White when they come onto the set, etc. ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
Pat, you have long been the mainstay in evening “must do’s” for my family and I. That goes waaaay back to the 80s when you started with WOF. Now, my grandkids watch the show. You and Vanna are both known to be “those two people who are dressed up nightly on TV that Grandpaw’s loves to watch” according to my youngest granddaughter (8). Thanks from the bottom of my heart from this USN Retiree for the decades of valued evening entertainment that I always look forward to.

We find ourselves laughing throughout every show with Pat's subtle, yet sharp, sense of humor, He can take the "get-to-know" you conversations to some gut-busting levels of laughter. It's fun. You always know you're going to laugh, more than you expected. These will be hard shoes to fill. We miss him already and he hasn't even gone yet.

I must say, this is a most spin-credible week on Wheel. I remember watching Pat on Wheel of Fortune for decades, particularly when I was growing up. There are so many wonderful memories Pat make for all of us, but two fond memories I remember most fondly while watching Pat in action on Wheel of Fortune are:
April 1, 1997: He and Vanna competed as contestants for their charities while Alex Trebek hosted; Pat hosted Jeopardy the same day.
November 11, 1999: Pat's reaction to Joe's guess to the puzzle: A GROUP OF WELL WISHES.
"A group of pill-pushers?"
(audience laughs hysterically)
"Goodnight, everyone! Thank you! This is Wheel of Fortune, Joe!"
More words of thanks will be coming. In the meantime, thanks for the memories, Pat.
My name is Debbie Shilling. I have been watching the wheel for years. The wheel is my number one show 🎉😂 Pat will be very missed. I hope I win some money before the next century lol! Enjoy your retirement Pat!!!! Everyone will miss you plus me! ❤
For someone who only had local broadcast TV growing up we had a limited amount of channels to watch and of course "Wheel" was one of them along with the other one "Jeopardy" on KGO-San Francisco and KSBW-Monterey/Salinas, and I enjoyed watching them both. As I got used to watching this and as I have gotten older I discovered that I can solve these puzzles just as well as the contestants would 95% of the time. I can even solve some with only one letter and when that happens the people around me were like "How did you do that?" I was even encouraged to try out and audition, but I didn't have the will to get out there and try out then. Now I will make it my mission to go out there and do my best to audition to get on Wheel at least while Vanna is still around. While Pat may be gone from Wheel after June 7, but he will be forever a part of my childhood as well as Jeopardy host Alex Trebek and Wheel hostess Vanna White. Thank You to all who made my childhood.

This is so difficult for me. I watched you and Vanna every night with my beautiful grandparents who raised me. We would have supper and watch Wheel Of Fortune. They have been gone for a long time. I'm 57 now and still watching it. My Mom Step Dad and brother watching you too. I miss those days watching it with my Beloved Grandparents. It truly will never be the same. Learned so much I didn't know about Pat. Pat, Vanna and the contestants gave me my daily dose of decency, normalcy and joy in seeing ordinary people in the spotlight. And yes, Pat's wit and good-natured banter with the participants made the show. He really listened to them, put them at ease and handled their quirks and gaffes with aplomb.
