Wow...I have the same problem! A 2000 oddyssey frm another owner, on rare occasions it would close with the handle, most of the time only when my wife does it, never me...haha, but was alwaise confused, thought it might be because of door hinges. So I just left it be for awhile. But never imagined or noticed that something like that be causing the problem do to either missing or wares out...going to take a look right now, either narrows the list down or the problem solver, this helped a bunch, thanks.
Our Honda Odyssey opens electronically easily, but it won't close completely on its own. It will only close automatically if we hold the button down the on the dashboard the entire time until it is closed. help?
I can't even get mine to work with the buttons. fob or dash.. so maybe it IS the switch?? - $20?! sheesh. what a ripoff. Honda loves to screw people as much as possible if they own an older one... means they can maybe *get you into* a brand new one. for sure. the recalls on the airbag and the ignition interlock were total scams to get some poor sucker into their claws.. they screwed up my shifter/ignition lock first, and the broke the AC routing unit. thanks Honduh, jerks.

How did you get the rubber bumper out of the van in the salvage yard with out messing it up?
AnnaLUVsBOBMARLEY I think I used a small flat head screwdriver to poke and push from behind.
Anyone having issues with odyssey alarm going off at random times? It’s not the hood latch on my van. Any other suggestions
Is there also a rubber bumper in the top corner of the door?
I believe it is just the bottom track.
I think there is a one also for the top
