Yeah, but 20% percent of the missions, where tailing missions that went on forever. The game is fun and exciting, but it lacks depth

That opening monologue by Blackbeard forever gives me chills. One of the best monologues on the main character of a video game ever.
I loved this game, from the ship combat to completing all the assassination contracts to get the pistol swords, as well as fighting the legendary ships! My favorite Assassin's creed game

1:32:09 I know people say the old AC games have easy combat that make you feel like a god,but they are so much better and grittier then modern day arcade style with a hundred colours flashing on screen. The perfect combat would be if they mixed this style with AC unity. There was so much to this style I love, I Miss it😢

This game always reminds me of you, Hollow. I love the admiration you still hold for this game. I know this is your favorite establishment in the series.
I had no idea you were born in Havana! That’s amazing. Definitely at the top of my list of places in the Caribbean I want to visit most.
Black Flag is the best of the AC games. After finishing my undergrad but before moving to China I played it nonstopppp. I would have rum and Coke playing all night :)
Damn, now you have me listening to it. Haha. Black Flag for sure was the best. Been replaying a lot of the AC games. 3 Remastered, Black Flag, Unity, Syndicate, Odyssey(which is extremely underrated imo…also I really love that they brought back the naval warfare and everything related to the ship from Black Flag) and a tiny bit of Origins. Was never too big a fan of Origins or Unity the first time around, but trying to give them a second chance and there’s nothing much else to play right now. Haha.

I have Dominican and Jamaican roots but born in Jamaica, and we eat sugar cane too. I miss it. 😢I also miss that color water like you said it’s so Beautiful. The Caribbean has its problems but it is a beautiful view. Thanks for this play. I really like when you tackle some series types of games - I don’t comment every single video but I wouldn’t mind if you would continue this one and the Banisher one.

This was the best Assassin's Creed ever made, everything about it was fun; from being an assassin to hunting iguana, chasing shanties, saving slaves, upgrading your swords & gun, discovering new islands, and the EPIC ship battles on the Jackdaw! Not to mention the DLC they had called Freedom Cry featuring Adéwalé from the Jackdaw. Now THIS is the Assassin's Creed to remake! Still have it on my PS5, a true classic! 🔥

@@Subparfat "A I sailed, as I sailed", lol.. Don't even remind me of those ships.. I used to upgrade Edward first before The Jackdaw and paid the price in 2 playthroughs.. Those ships gave me nightmares by quitting and unquitting the game.. Not ugrading Edward has little to no repercussion.. Good times indeed
@kaybigg I usually just go gather supplies and upgrade my ship as much as I and tha my Armour and such and than do the story missions lol have alot and most fast travel points lol and just build up my reserves and sell for money best way to play lol
@@Subparfat Indeed.. I never left any mission incomplete and I upgraded the Jackdaw first.. I used to ignore the big hitting missions too till I'm done collecting everything.. How about the time I spent the whole day just killing animals for my supplies and for trading??
Game was directed by Ashral Ismail who also directed Ac Origins another one that is my favourite, guy is a genius but of course Ubisoft being Ubisoft fired him, also always loved the way Edward Kenway says "mate" lol. Masterpiece
The old Ubisoft is dead and gone. It's not coming back for reasons like you just mentioned

I love black flag for the ship combat I bought 3 and 4 together so I went from ac 3 straight to ac 4 really excited for the ship aspect of the game...still like to play it from time to time.

In Puerto Rico we did the same thing with the sugar canes....it was so good...I think it's called the same or a different name in Puerto Rico but still it taste amazing

Graphics still look great, loved this game. It also shows just how far we've come in 10 years of gaming when you compare it to the GTA VI gameplay trailer. Can't imagine another 10 years from now

i have been thinking of replaying this aswell, so this is perfect timing. Im sure they will make a remake/remaster of this game and it would be AS SUCCESFUL as the original one! i'm looking forward to another assassin's creed marathon, but you should also try it with the Far Cry series aswell!

I hope you revisit mirage aswell they updated parkour side ejects and backs ejects and im pretty sure animation speed was increased again but its really good and new game plus aswell
