Yes man, it is pretty underrated as it maybe came out on the same day as assassins creed unity. I played it and I really enjoyed the character developments and changes but disliked the ruthless killing of literally everyone.
DAMN STRAIGHT! It's the only AC Game I've played to 100% nearly a dozen times, I never get bored of it.
I've played most of the ac games and rouge has been my most played and most favourite so far
As a person who played every AC game, I prefer odyssey, Valhalla, and origins. I just love the choices you have, the map lengths, levels, challenges/bosses. It was really fun, it may not be the same for the original AC games but im pretty sure Ubisoft wasn't aiming towards that. Pretty sure they wanted to try something different and see how these games would go with the different play style. My opinion these were my favorite games, but people always love the classic AC games where the maps are small and the story is small as well.
Levelling, Healthbares and Loot are dogshit. I like the armour and weapon Customizing but Levelling for a main mission is soooo fucking terrible. I hate it and the only reason why some people think its good is bc Looting is addictive.
I agree, but I just couldn't get into Valhallab (I really tried). I've gone start to finish with Origins and Odyssey multiple times.
I didnt play the new assassins creed games, only origins at a friends house (didnt like it) but are the maps seriously bigger than for example rogue and black flag? I remember sometimes you'd set a waypoint and you had to travel like 2000 kilometers or something with your boat (might be incorrect but felt like that) and fast travel was heeeeella important
For real I got deep into origins and didn’t finish, but Valhalla has me hooked
@@MildPild You sound like you just suck at the game. That's fine and all, but don't blame the game because you don't have the skills. It basically plays similarly to the Witcher though the story isn't as good as the Witcher so I don't know why anyone hates the RPGs.
Syndicate is actually one of my favorites, I liked the stealth and gunplay in combat, the combos you could pull off with the pistol quick shot was so satisfying!

Hot take: ac 2 is the worst in terms of gameplay elements and yes I understand it was made early on but there’s also a game called splinter cell which was made before ac and it’s 10x better

If you (anyone, not you personally) don't like RPG AC vs Splinter Cell AC then just don't play it. The developers can do whatever they want with their creation. They owe us nothing in that regard.

I bought all AC games when they were on sales a few years ago and replayed to 100% all games and i must say that AC I is worth playing only if you want whole plot and just to try it but overall it is bad game that is worth only because it is part of bigger picture

SweetPlaysClaw AC2 had lot of interactive Cutscenes. You must select a button or default actions will take place. It made the Cutscenes little attentive and interesting. (Like using timed button press for Kissing Cristina & other things👀)

It was cool because a lot of what we were covering in class at the exact time (the french revolution) I was also seeing in the game. But thats just the thing... I was learning in class, then seeing references to the things I was learning in the game. Not vice versa.

The only thing I don't like about Brotherhood is that Rome is mostly boring and colorless(weird green tint in most areas) as compared to Firenze and Venice, which were so beautiful and had such a beautiful calming music.

It is repetitive as hell and the parkour can be slow "sometimes" but the parkour is still good and challenging if you know how to do some parkour moves and you had a lot of ways to assnaiate a target and the graphics also aged fine as hell
But if it weren't for the repetitive missions and if you could "climb" faster

I'd say Graphics is the only advantage of the Remaster. The other flaws in AC3 Remastered make it not worth the penny. The faces were messed up just like in Last Of Us Remake. Old Game did the best facial expressions. Secondly the AI has been made more lenient - An Example Is the Charles Lee Chase sequence, Old AI gives a strict proximity - If you lack a few yards from the target, it Desynchronizes. Remastered AI makes Charles wait for you if you're slow 😂 Imagine your target waiting for you to kill him 🤦🏽 - Especially in the Finale. Also lot of the outfit texture upgrades made it undesirable - Especially Connor's Jamestown Outfit - It was perfect White and Blue (American tinge) in the 1st installment but when i played it in remaster, it was just bland gray with lackluster blue. And that's ONE of the outfits that I hated.
Also it was overpriced to be honest. They recently reduced the cost because of poor Steam Reviews stopping people from getting it. The Only positive I felt was the use of valid Checkpoints in missions like the Bunker Hill where there were 3 sets of achievements including the ship infiltration - which in the original installment was infuriating when you die in the middle & you gotta do it all over again. Remastered did a better job with Checkpoints. Also I loved the God rays & the Counter attack timing difficulty change. That's it. That's it!
If you're getting it for EXTREMELY low price/free I'd say it's sort of worthy.

I will say as someone who’s playing through AC1 rn: the story and characters are amazing, but the gameplay itself is insanely repetitive and gets boring fast.
@@obamasdadlol It's hard not to admit that it smells a bit monotonous, but the dialogues are top-notch, the enemies are interesting, the targets to be eliminated also had some depth and maybe even a deeper message about people.
But above all, we only had 3 cities and each of them had a different climate, weather, ethnicity, music and general gameplay as well.
Personally, I prefer an older game with a good plot, godly orders and monotony than AC Odyssey about fighting minotaurs
@@dimitriy4525 I agree with you tbh. Just finished AC1. And for the record I have not played any assassins creed past 1, so I have no idea what the new ones are like. The loop of getting intel, killing guy got a little old towards the end but they still found ways to make it interesting and I agree the writing was great. The fight at the end was my favorite.

Origins: 200 or so hours everything done
Odyssey: 20 hours barely anything done felt disappointed that you can't reconstruct full spear of leonidas....
Valhalla: 600h+ almost everything done....80% or something...

To this day, Origins is still my favorite modern AC game. It was fun exploring Ancient Egypt, learning about the ORIGIN of the Assassin Brotherhood, and Bayek was a cool character. But after Origins, the motto seems to be “bigger the better”. And, as someone who isn’t a fan of open-world games, I’m waiting until AC Hexes to jump back in (I have zero expectations for Shadows to be good. It’s more or less going to be the same “check off this icon on the map”)

@@Turkezio true, that. In the starting the eyes were bugging out and haytham’s face just looked… odd to say the least. There was also a brightness issue when plugging in the second power source. But I do think it’s okay. The faces and textures only bothered me in haytham’s story but connor’s part was perfect. But then again, the original has its own charm and the remastered feels like a bit of a downgrade after you have played the previous 4 games.

If Valhalla wasn’t named assassin creed my lord what a beautiful game but for an assassin creed game is alot to be honest and that’s crazy because assassin creed franchise alone is alot but Valhalla was a bit overwhelming
They had a cool story with Desmond slowly becoming an assassin after extended Animus sessions, and teased some great modern day gameplay, only to take a huge steaming crap on those hopes with that dumpster fire of an ending to 3. I'll admit, Black Flag surprised tf outta me, but everything since is basically just (insert whatever historical period happens to be trendy atm) + "assassins".
