What range were those groups at Pete? If only 50yds then they're dissapointing compared to my cz452's i've had. Also, what's your opinion of the 38gr Eley Subs? I can't for the life of me understand why they had to mess about with a long established winning formula as the new subs are crap in comparison for accuracy.
50 yards, however, since I've been shooting it, accuracy is improving, sort of running in and now it's a demon at 100m. Yes what was wrong with their old 40-grain Sub-sonic Extra, I reckon the best sub they ever made, as the new, lighter model is disappointing to say the least!
My secondhand £150 CZ452 punches way above its weight compared to new 22LR's! Perhaps the Tikka is more refined, but the CZ's can't really be beaten. Suppose ammo is the real limitation.
I'd have to agree with you that the CZ's do shoot rather well,...but the Tikka T1x is relatively new, so I'll give mine time too 'shoot in'', then I'll see.
Agreed, I picked up an S/H CZ Varmint in 22LR a few years back for not a lot of money and tricked it up and it shot well. Trouble was someone offered me more money for it so I sold it. You're right about the ammo, as 22LR is a harsh mistress...
RWS always groups poorly in my experience (Tikka T3X 8x57 and Sako S20 30.06) vs Sako ammo , yet it is more expensive here in Slovakia compared to Sako Ammo.
Not been so happy with a new rifle for many a year, got a GRS Bifrost stock to try on it as I'm unsure if I'm going to stick with the standard stock + accessories, or go the whole hog
@@GunMartTV I would like to see that GRS stock on the Tikka, do you plan to show us this? When my T1x arrived I did expect to see a more 'interesting looking stock' than this. Having said this, it is very practical and will be a good one to take along on outings with no concern for scratches and dings that may occur.

What silencer are you using?

You're correct Pete, this T1x is a great rifle, I do enjoy shooting with mine.
