I hate the false starts in the tournaments. They were unfair IMO. Still good effort and it was fascinating to see the thought process behind playing a BR game by a 'newbie'.

Im new to MMORPGs and gw2 is the game I chose to play as my first, i love it, in 2 weekends i got to level 80. I bought all the expansions and like 4000 gems for outfits 😂 i love this game

Oh. My. God. If only it was something other than WoW, I'd've been paying attention. I've followed Fairlight for many years, but I had no interest in watching any WoW stuff... but if I'd known you two were doing that tournament TOGETHER I'd have been glued to the stream(s). Aw man. LOL.

I think only the first one was Asmon's fault. The other ones were because they were still doing interviews or something bugged out.

Back when I played wow I did all game modes, including arena. I never got Gladiator but got the title just under it a few times. (duelist or something?)

Just a bunch of big names in the streaming world. For example Asmongold, purely in terms of # of followers has 3.5 million on twitch.
Pulling the rug under the number 1 team and throwing away all their prior victories sounds like such a terrible idea. There already is a significant difference in rewards for each spot, they absolutely didn't need to do this.
I would have been furious. If it had been a random tournament it wouldn't be a big deal, but there was real money on the line. I agree, terrible idea.
The alternative is that the tournament is basically over after 3 or 4 rounds. Neither feels good.
@@kaltaron1284 That's just not true. People would still be fighting hard for any spot they can get, because there are rewards going all the way down to eighth. What you say would be true if the reward was only for first place.
@@Chiaros Those who have a chance to reach a scoring place? Yes. Everyone else? Probably not. And the difference in points between 8th and 9th can be large enough at that point that 9th has no chance to reach 8th.
Lot of bugs. Seems par for the course for Blizzard.

this is what i dont like about battle royale games. If you get screwed by item rng or storm placemet you just lose.
The false starts were annoying.
The result came down to mostly luck.
That a certain team would place at least second was never without question.
Overall not too bad an event but will it get people to sub to WoW? No chance. If they make it F2P it may find an audience.

After the first half of the video, when you had mentioned deciding bugs multiple times, I almost wanted to quit watching. Felt like this entire game mode was just another half-assed marketing gig. Still, your conclusion in the end was very much on point. There was a lot more wrong with it and those bugs probably weren't the deciding thing. Not that it's really better when there are even worse problems with the format, lol
Blizzard is going down fast, man. This promotion torunament with so many amateurish problems shows that, they only want to sell an another cashgrab game for the community, whom once loved them. They lost all the talented developers, game directors, creators, what they have is the greedy producers. I'm glad you enjoyed it, after so many failed start, I couldn't handle them seriously. It;s like their failed moba attempt.
