One can only have control over training as an actor and focusing on the craft. Everything you said doesn't happen because an actor can only do his job, not making himself a commercial actor and everything else. Other stuff that happens in the film industry are not priorities. Audience should watch this film and help make it a success.

In the end people only talk about one or other. Either Gandhi was Britishers puppet either Savarkar was weak to write petition. And don't consider it as two different ideologies using two different approach on situation.
And these biopic tends to worship 1 person. Like how Netaji Bose grandson says Netaji wasn't inspired by Savarkar. I just wanna say one can respect others while not agreeing with them, as Netaji was the one to give Gandhi fathe of nation title while being in clear opposition.
I m sure in biopic of Gandhi the entire credit would be given to him, or anything. Almost making it seems like independence movement was led by one person not the collective effort of countless leaders.
Instead of idolizing one person understand the ideologies from historic facts and their own record of what they believe.

8:40 Bose's grandson is a political person, earlier with BJP now in TMC. He will paint Bose in light of his current political affiliations. I will rather place my reliance on anyone who have read several books on Bose rather than his grand nephew. There are several incidents in many books where it is established that Bose's INA, Savarakar book is given when one enters with other tools to fight. Same with Bhagat Singh's HRSA, the reading of book of Savarkar is prerequisite. So ya your sensibilities may not like it but people of past were more open to each others ideas.

Being the lead actor, the director and co producer all together is one thing, but leaving that pressure behind and diving into the depts of the character with ruthless physical transformation just to try and honestly convey the story is truly a master class of acting and Sir Randeep Hooda deserves all the praises for the same. The Kalapani sequence portrayed on screen still brings shivers. Sir Randeep Hooda has just penned the definition of dedication for an actor in a character role. Call him the next Christian bale or Chhuyan Vikram, but Randeep Hooda deserves all the love and cheers from the audiences.

Today saw Swatantra Veer Savarkar starring Randeep Hooda.
    Terrific role by Randeep Hooda.
I felt as if I am watching Veer Savarkar on big screen. Power in his eyes, his conviction, character portrayal, dialogue delivery, body language and the confident way he describes his ideology was phenomenal. Watched a brave biopic like this after a long time. Salute to Randeep Hooda. Everyone must go and watch this movie in theater.
Movie describes whole journey of Veer Savarkar Ji from young age till the end. His contribution in freedom struggle of India 🇮🇳 was unimaginable and huge. He was sent to Kaala Paani Saza for nearly 15 years. He was brutally tortured over there and was treated in an inhumane manner.
Dialogue delivery by Randeep bhai is just awesome. This movie consists of 5-6 scenes which will surely give you goosebumps.

Brilliant film! One thing I would like to add about the Subhash Chandra Bose connection. Rasbihari Bose who founded the INA was not just a revolutionary from the same era as Savarkar's revolutionary years, but he was also the president of Hindu Mahasabha branch in Japan. No wonder he was in touch with Savarkar through his letters. Therefore even though it might be debatable if Savarkar directly inspired Netaji or gave him the elaborate strategy to attack with the help of Germans and Japanese, Savarkar connecting Netaji with Rasbihari Bose and setting him on his eventual path to leas INA is quite likely to have happened.

      3) And when he was freed from jail why didn't he rise against the British?
In short he remained a humble SLAVE of the British after they put some bamboo through his @ss. His will to fight went down the drain when he received PENSION from the British Raj and shut his mouth with cold hard cash from the British. He was no true PATRIOT. His patriotism died when the Brits shoved a laathi through his @ss in the jail and then shut him up with hush money unlike Bhagat Singh or Sukhdev (who had to be killed in order to stop them, and torture did nothing to them ,that they can be silenced so easily ).

@@thefreegamer7928 hi bro, delayed due to work so couldn't immediately reply. To answer your questions:
      1. Why mercy petition? - for example if any of your or my family members are arrested, what would be the first step? Bail right? During british times before 1915 when jail reforms were not there in place, they did not cal it bail instead called it mercy petition. Anyone against the crown were asked to apologise this way. Now, why should a 28 year old man with full of life want to rot in that hell rather than try to come out?
2.why pension? - The moment he was arrested, british confiscated his wealth, family property, his law degree and every single penny he had. What do you think he should do to live? It was his confiscated wealth which was being given back in the form of pension.
3.When freed why didnt he fight back? - Seriously? He was arrested at the age of 28. 12 years spent in hell hole and tortured, further two years in house arrest. When he set out full of life, these british sucked tge life out of him. Further more he was again and again troubled for various other revolts such as mr.gandhi's demise etc. And do you know why he was arrested in the first place? Because he published a book that was written by a communist. And why would Savarkar be interested in publishing communist written ideology? Because at that time Nation Came First over everything else. Forget youtube videos, forget movies, read the book published by Vikram Sampath - a well known historian. Read more and more and then tell me bro!

Because after a certain point of time in his life, he did not play an active role against the British.. fell silent totally. Granted, he was jailed in the crulest of conditions.. his spirit broke down.. but so were many others.. and it is one thing to not show either opposition or support towards the Raj, like most common Indians would have done back then to not invite trouble into their personal lives.. and another to polarise us Hindus thru the RSS and Hindu Mahasabha. Heck, he himself said he's an atheist.. and before you say 'Hindu Atheist', such streams of thought (Lokayata) were demonised and wiped out long back more than 2000 years ago. The only remnants we have are their harsh criticisms and ridicules. So, they were not 'accepted' as a part of mainstream Hinduism at that time. Some more important things on Savarkar: He'd exhorted us Hindus to pack up the Vedas and Upanishads and tread on the path of science like the rest of the world.. not my thoughts; but his: he had even said that there's nothing inherently holy in any cow! Then why was he doing such antisocial things, sowing seeds of hatred? Even the RSS and other orgs know very well that in the 21st Century, an Akhand Bharat is simply not possible, so they now resort to vague terms like Sanskritik Bharat. But gist of the matter is, such polarisation will throw our India/Bharat backwards, sociallg, politicallh and economically. Look what happened to Pakistan. Sharia, Islamisation has ruined them beyond repair. And they deserve it. Do you want the world to look down upon us also, like Pakistan? No, right? Then we must uphold our composite social fabric, not antagonise or demonise the minorities. They are just as Indian as you and I Hindus are. They also call this country their motherland. We should unite once again to get India ahead in the world! Bring true secularism, for that educate our coming generations.. all religions should come together on one table and discuss.. and not sling mud on each other. We all have a shared legacy. Let's cherish it.

    • @sabertrat
      @sabertrat Před 2 měsíci

@@thehungrysinger6211 Let's keep in mind that spreading hate against the majority religion and especially upper castes for being "privileged" is just as bad as "demonising a minority" and no one likes one sided secularism.
The leftist ideologue would preach love and unity one day and then selectively attack Hindu festivals and practices. Their randirona and liberalism is directed towards only Hinduism. No true liberal would oppose bills like UCC or even CAA. And then if the same happens against a minority, it's suddenly called right wing extremism and what not.
So yes, it's not just RSS or the majority community that's causing the division between communities. The so-called "minorities" need some self introspection as well.

They are all his relatives and in some cases few set up daughter etc. All these people didn't do anything in their life and just sold our beloved Netaji to earn bread and butter. None is their carrying Netaji's braveheart gene in the world anymore. So stop showing Chandra Bose as Netaji's grandson.

Randeep Hooda stepped in to direct the film after Mahesh Manjrekar exited, citing disagreements with Randeep over the script and the incorporation of irrelevant historical elements.

With Saragarhi stolen from him, he was left devastated as his entire effort was flushed off. This was his next chance to portray what he had on plates with Saragarhi as well..

What a performance! Absolutely gripping rendition and a thoroughly entertaining film! Watched a long runtime film after so long but didn't even realise till it was over!

I added a review yesterday, and I knew Randeep would do justice to our independence struggle. He truly embodied the essence of our nation's history and managed to school some privileged actors like Sara Ali Khan.

    Direction was fine
    Acting was excellent
    Camera work was good
    Screenplay lack behind
Generally with biopics story is really normal and screenplay make it watchable but in this film screenplay not bad per say but kinda feels distant or long
Editor should have made it a little less long

Randeep hooda deserve all awards , like Sarabjeet . But we know he will be sidelined by so called saleable award shows , so that khans and kapoor and rule forever .
