No matter how professional a surfer, diver or a swimmer you are, once you are in the open ocean, you just make yourself a part of the food chain for the big fish in the water.
He lived and loved in his short life, more than most do that live to be one hundred. Well done, Tam. Well done. You made your mark, brother. ♥️
The shortage of lifeguards is not the problem that the ocean is not safe for us....No amount of lifeguards can save a person once the person is in the ocean and being attacked by a hungry shark. A lifeguard can only warn beachgoers about potential shark attacks, but once the attack is in progress, nothing can be done.
So sad to hear!
Sharks are on a tear this year. FAFO
Their KD ratio is crazy lmaoo 😂😂😂
Sad but we share this planet with sharks and countless other animals. Its a risk we take when we go into the ocean.
If you swim with the sharks enough times, eventually one will find you. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.
True, it’s just not all the time they bite you, and then it’s even rarer if it’s fatal. Tamayo perry just so happened to have a fatal attack.
It was a tiger . Multiple bites . Greats just bump and bite . Bulls are too small to inflict fatal wounds . Tiger shark all the way 😢
I just go to the pool for a dip. I'm not going into an extremely deadly & hostile environment when the hotel has a chill pool ten feet away
says every single kook from MO ID KY KS TN etc. lol
alohahahaha
There goes tourism. "Sharks never attack people. very rare."
Americans 😂
100 million sharks
Sharks are notorious around the world for the apparent threat they pose to humans -
but we're killing millions of them each year. Shark populations around the world have become increasingly vulnerable due to high levels of exploitation. A startling figure suggests that 100 million sharks are killed on a yearly basis.
36 shark attacks this year down from 41 since last year. Not all are fatal
I'd say I'm with the sharks on this one.
Shark party.
That's so Sad this year 2024.
I grew up in Rockaway Beach Queens in the 80s-90s and people thought it was ridiculous to think let alone ever say there were sharks in those waters but as a kid I always knew they were fools to say this as the water is so dark there you wouldn't be able to see them and to think one could come up underneath me while on my boogie board was a horrifying thought cause you'll never see them coming... they definitely ARE there despite what people might think.
There were bull sharks at Rockaway Beach swimming underneath the medical waste and mysterious industrial waste. No doubt about it.
@@chrisdraughn5941 don't forget Montauk point isn't far from there and they have plenty of great whites.
And Rockaway had a pretty brutal shark attack last year on a 65 year old woman, it's believed to have been a Great White that attacked her.
@@TheDevilHydraProdsXXII not surprised. I wonder where in Rockaway that happened exactly as I lived in 102-00 shore front parkway Dayton Towers ... like further up towards Belle Harbor and Breezy Point or the opposite direction?
@@I-am-Hanuman711 Not sure, I don't see any websites mentioning any specific locations other than "close to shore". Her name is Tatyana Koltunyuk, and she lost around 20 pounds of flesh.
The bite marks were consistent with a juvenile Great White, which she says was the one that bit her (all she said was she saw its green teeth and that it bumped into her and was belly up as it bit her leg), but experts theorized it could've been also been a Bull or Thresher, although I doubt the latter very much.
She just said in the news she "loves to talk about these shark bite stories" That sums up the national new perfectly. Sad
Wait, did this woman just ask if he was trained to “handle a shark?” that’s about the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. She’s been watching too many episodes of “swimming with sharks”
Damn, even the Sharks have had enough of us
Are you not watching the video? He was a great human being. Unlike some others.
@@George-ni7tq This is what happens when non aquatic animals try to mess around the ocean.
Even fish get killed in the ocean.
@@CristanioPeweyyyyou see, we are 2x bigger then the fish in the ocean. Which is why sharks eat fish not always attack humans. Sometimes the bigger sharks take curiosity bites, just to see if we taste good. And 9 times out of 10, we don’t. Tamayo Perry got unlucky. RIP
🙏🙏🙏R.I.P.
He was taught ti put the shark in a headlock

Dude died doing what he loved, and became part of the food chain.
The world just lost a priceless benefactor. We’re going to miss you, Tam. See you in the next one.
Can't they use AI technology to constantly scan the beach for sharks? If they combine some type of lidar with visual scanning, I think it can be done.
Omg Americans trying to win over sealife now
90% of the ocean is unmapped and undiscovered in 2024. How on earth can they do that ? It's the sharks home. Let's respect them and stay out!
Americans being American wondering how to 'handle a Shark' ... it's the Shark's home! You go in the water you understand you are in their home. RIP.
I don't think they meant it as hurt them or anything. I think its more of how to handle the situation better and hopefully be able to spot them to avoid another mishap. It's part of our home too. We share it with them. We're coexisting. Neither was at fault.
So with this crazy lady’s thought process, her rationale goes as follows: if lifeguards were paid more money, let’s say the hundred thousand dollars a month, they could better handle shark attacks. She needs to call her college and get her money back. 😳🤮
Lifeguards are paid half of what they were 20 years ago. Takes training, skill and $ to be certified. Why work at a deficit? US is so twisted now.
Tamayo Perry was actor playing one pirate in Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
fyi... he was surfer, that got$. doing lifeguard chit.. aloha
America is twisted NOW? Where have you been???
Gotta respect the ocean!
Hey, ocean ramsey...you seeing this?
RIP Tomayo
this is why im scared of the ocean..
Rest in peace
💔💔💔🙏🏽 🕯
ma boi got clapped by a shark in 2024 LMAO
You know he’s dead right? Like never coming back? How would you feel if you died in a shark attack and someone commented this?
Could have been a killer whale or an alligator ?
I genuinely hope this is a joke

@@mopthermopther Don't play dumb, you know what I said.
Oh look, an American
People die because they don’t use more technology like for more example drones can be a life changer after this incident I feel like life guards should use drones to look out for sharks or any type of emergency or evacuation they. An need

Damn, I bet that shark was pumped to have a snack.
Wtf is your problem??
@@George-ni7tqAmerican.
There are sharks in the ocean.... don't surf or swim in the ocean.... why people don't get it??? How stp you must be to enter the domain of a huge wild animal??? You wouldn't enter a cave of that animal but you swim in it....I really can not understand people
Surfing is an addiction. (I get your probably not a surfer) but once you start you can’t stop. We take the risk of getting stung by a poisonous jelly, attacked by a shark, or anything else. Hell I was surfing on the NE coast of Florida 3 days ago and had a shark pop up 4 feet away from me. Luckily the shark was smaller then my board a d didn’t wanna try attacking something bigger then him. Shark attacks are very rare. I don’t get when 1 person dies everyone is like “well it must not be rare after all” when it’s just 1 person. And that one person just had to be Tamayo Perry. He just got unlucky.
Seriously, folks...
It's a shark. It lives in the ocean. If you go into the ocean, you're on their home turf.
I doubt a lifeguard could honestly do much. Not knocking their job or abilities. But like this actor here, they're human...not some superhero.
