We're both about the same age, so you'd probably remember Llumar's brass shaving tool that fitted on your Olfa silver knife. At least yours works! 😂 Well done! I've always used Stanley Max 9mm plastic knives (Black & yellow) to eliminate scratches. You may be able to modify them a bit easier as they're really close on angle, just could do with less material at the tip. I'll forgive you for coming up with the same idea for gaskets, great minds think alike! I just used a bungy cord to hold it down.

Thank you for the kind words, my tools are designed for certain applications whereas tools like the shank ( painters color palate mixer) works well but is not very durable

That was a hook off a rubber bungee. I usually use a zip tie to make a loop

I just ground down the back end a bit to fit the kwik shave a little better. Man that thing is the Truth!
