No he didn't. There were 3 opponents that were supposed to face Jai before Jordan Thompson. Masternak, Riakporhe and Breidis. All of those fighters are signed with Matchroom rivals. Hearn would have been left with nothing but his dick in his hand if Jai lost.

Always knew this was too soon for JT, from life and death with Vasil Ducar (a good learning fight) to jumping in with the top dog of the division...LEVELS! He was a work in progress that should've been guided down the old-fashioned domestic route, poor match-making imo. And that blood-curdling scream by his mother was heartbreaking, can only imagine how horrific it was for her seeing her son get pummelled like that. As for Opetaia...a pure beast that's on a mission to kick some serious ass, great fighter. 👏🏼👏🏼

After the 3rd round Jordan's corner should have thrown in the towel. It was awful to watch. Imagine his own family sitting there egging him on like he had anything of substance to give, he was way out of his depth and shouldn't have been sent into the 4th.

Looked like a bad mismatch before and it truly was, which Matchroom rarely do! Suppose he dared to be great but that was brutal, Jai is a dangerous, dangerous man.
Was brutal you could see Jordan was out of it sitting in the corner after round 1 he was finished from the straight left that done his nose fight should have been stopped there and then.

Thompson being 6'7 good looking and mixed race has everything going for him, and as a result has become a smug, cocky bastard and he got a humbling defeat there. Lets see if theres any substance to him and if he can come back and make something of his career. Way undermatched prior to this fight and then way overmatched in it, typical of Hearn, he doesn't know how to build a champion and always throws his fighters in the deep end

This is nothing to do with God, we are all being judge equally by his righteousness. As the saying in the bible "You rip what you sow" which determined the result that night. Jordan was lack in experience in the amateur category...should have gone for 3 or 4 fights before Jai. So doesn't mean you asked God for favor will definitely get what you are ask for.
