      Maybe because klopp made 2 cup finals last year with a shit squad and has now got them challenging for the title. Or maybe winning the German cup and 2 bundesliga with a Dortmund squad, that on paper, was half of what Bayern was. And he did this all on a shoe string budget. What did lvg do? Spend a quarter of a BILLION and then win 1 fa cup. Do you now understand why lvg is getting more criticism

    • @gameboys2020
      @gameboys2020 Před 7 lety +5

      Kevin P Lvg did what klopp couldn't do and that is winning a champions league. People rave about his dortmund stint (well deserved).But lvg won the champions league with Ajax and took an average Dutch side to semis. Klopp's honeymoon period is over. If people can criticise other players then klopp's players also deserve to be criticised.

    I think Klopp is spot on about the critics of Karius. Neville brothers were a couple of losers in a winning team during Alex Ferguson's time, achieving sweet FA since then. And as a Liverpool fan, as much as I hate to criticise ex-Liverpool players, I think it's Caragher that needs to shut up and show some respect and understanding towards our young goalkeeper. There had been numerous times in the past when Caragher himself cost Lfs points with his defensive flaws. Karius is only 21 FFS; he can only get better. Let's give the lad a break and sort out our defence before singling out one person.

    Fucking hell he's taking is so serious. Remember when Neville destroyed De Gea in a match with Spurs at WHL in 2013 after his mistake cost gave Spurs a stoppage time equaliser. Neville was being honest. De Gea's mistake could've cost United the league that season but you never hear anyone bashing on him. Neville's punditary is amazing and comparing him to his management in Valencia where he struggled doesn't means he's know nothint. Carragher critised him why isn't he bad taking shots at him. People say Neville's biased but he critises United a lot as well. Very badly as well. Carragher also critise things about Liverpool. They're just being honest. If Liverpool want to challenge for the league then that's one situation they have to sort out his they don't have top goalies which is why they concead goals. Great attacking threat but the back looks dodgy.

    Seeing mancs come here and comment is pathetic. They are incredibly biased and doesn't take into account that Klopp should protect and back Karius up. Managers should always back their players and not pundits. I don't mind Gary Neville as a pundit, he has great chemestry with Carragher and goes in depth with his analysis, but Klopp did what Klopp should do - Backed Karius up. Any manager would agree that is what you need to do and they would probably do the same.
    I get why Mancs are here commenting. You're a midtable team with nothing else exciting going on this season despite throwing money away for players you can't attract without a huge paycheck. I would grasp for what I could too if I was in that situation.
    Or maybe you're just crushing on Klopp and his team.

Its normal that people make mistakes, the thing is, will they learn sth and get better by getting through it. Klopp gave the right answer, he protected his favorite goalkeeper. and tbh mignolet isnt an adaquate alternative...

      Coeur de Pirate Carragher only told him to shut up, because when you are a newcomer to Pl, you are bound to make mistakes.. But coming out criticising unnecessary about his managerial job, is totally not needed.. De gea faced much more criticsm when he came to Pl but didnt utter a word in rply.. Thats the way to do it

    De gea was 20 when he came to PL. His only flaw was his inability to deal with crosses because of his slender frame which he has corrected it now by bulking up. He was already a worldclass gk at 20 who just needed some muscle. Karius is 23 now and if you think he is going to turn out like De gea it's just false hope. By that logic every struggling gk in the league will turn out be as good as De gea.

    As a United fan I have two take aways from this. 1. Klopp is right. I grew up watching and loving Gary Neville but he's a prick and a hypocrite. 2. Klopp and his hamster of a keeper deserve criticism and Klopp more so because he had a transfer window and still came out of it with 2 incompetent keepers and his side is looking incompetent defensively.

Hasn't he been average this season? Want to talk about the transfer window? It's all about expectation. He desperately wants to be the man who brings the Title back to Anfield for the 1st time this century. He knows that Arsenal, Spurs, City and United probably don't have what it takes atm and sees this incredible opportunity for Liverpool to WIN the PL. Never mind all this "It'll be good if we finish in the Top4" Bullshit. NO-ONE is falling for that smokescreen...............NO-ONE!!!
      Your comments are why Liverpool fans are so unpopular up and down the country. You will say black is white. Pundits are paid to have an opinion. Players and managers don't like it but that isn't going to change. Klopp knows that his keeper was poor. He dropped him for the Boro game.
      Klopp needs to count to 10 and move on. If he's cracking up in mid December what hope is there for him in May?

      But he's shown by making that comment that he's rattled. Carra also criticised Karius but Klopp focused his anger on the Nevilles proving that he believes in his own mind that there is some sort of media conspiracy going on.
      Reality is that Carra wants Liverpool to win and the Neville's want Utd to win. We all know that. That hasn't changed and will never change.
      By airing his views on Neville criticising his keeper he's shown his anger. He's shown he's paranoid. He's shown he's NOT cool. He's shown that he CAN be got at. His frustration is simmering just below the surface. He's won NOTHING @ Liverpool and he knows he should have won the League Cup last season. He sees Chelsea sailing off into the horizon and he's absolutely livid. He wanted so badly to be The Man. But now all he's PROBABLY going to be left with is the old chestnut..................."We're happy with Top 4".......Aye right Jurgen ;-)

      @hhhhzk Před 7 lety

      Compare liverpool and chelsea's squad depth. Provided that Conte's 3 at the back formation remains effective, they're clear favourites for the title. He has said at the start of his realm to give him 3 or 4 years to win the title, so it's believable that him, along with the club's supporters, will be satisfied with a return to CL football

    About time those Neville brothers got told. Gary Neville goes to Valencia which is a massive job, crazy to take for your first job!! He was absolutely shocking FACT. He is a totally partisan commentator and shouldn't be allowed near Man Utd, Liverpool and City games. His ratboy brother just talks absolute bollocks and again is too partisan to be an objective commentator. For Gary to come back to Skytv and pick up where he left off slagging players and managers is either stupid or recklessly arrogant? But at least he had a go? Look at Savage you'd think he was a player of Zidanes ilk the way he goes on!!

    • @KryptonitetoallBS

      Utter nonsense.
      A team can lose but an individual player may be excellent while still on the losing side. A player can be awful but his team wins. So criticising that particular player isn't criticising the managers decision to select him.
      No player is brilliant every game unless your name happens to be Roy Keane.
      That's just football.

He also said that he might improve but at the moment, he's not anywhere near Liverpool stds. Please tell me how that's wrong?

    • @jeffjefferson930
      @jeffjefferson930 Před 7 lety +2

      Oh spare me, I know what a pundit is and it can be done different ways. Just because you don't agree with me doesn't mean you're correct. I saw the West Ham game and it was harsh to blame the keeper, solely, for both goals. Yes he was to blame for the final goal at Watford. That said, Liverpool's defense is shoddy right now, in total. It might be convenient to blame a foreign keeper but you defend as a team.
