    The journalist just don’t get Klopp said.
    His problem with them is because they have the rights to move fixtures around for the sake of TV. Klopp is trying to say whoever played at mid week should not play the early fixture. That’s it.

      They have the rights yes but I don't think they have the right to move it. I believe that's up to the league they pay for the rights so the blame isn't really on them. The issue lies with the premier league itself they need to be the one changing things not the broadcaster they have very limited power in this situation.

The managers generally get off quite lightly by the interviewers they aren’t put under pressure when results are bad or they have a bad game plan unlike other countries.       and it's the Premier League who create the kick off slots when they put the rights out to tender. Klopp happily spends the money it generates. Each team knows they will have at least one 12:30 kick of a season and up to a maximum of six as per the contract.

      Come February let's see which other teams start complaining about injuries.
      Although i have to admit, I am disappointed by Kieta and Chamberlain. Kieta was supposed to be a weapon but has not lived up to his name. I suspect maybe cause he's not working on his English which would allow him better synergy with the rest of the midfield.       @@SuperElectric96 they agreed to a season set up with a forced hand and then went into unknown territory. Now nothing is being allowed to be budged and they even stripped the 5 subs away.
      The issue is its always money. The TV companies want more games, more competitions, and the games when it works for them even if it means its inconsistent for the teams. So player welfare comes several fold below money for those involved. Klopp is trying to break that cycle (as are several other managers in the league) for the well being of their players.
      Doesnt take a genius to see there's a problem with how many injuries there have been this season.

      simple solution - cut the premier league to 16 teams. - less fixures and more player concentration will make for a more even player cap.

    I thought Des Kelly was unprofessional in this interview, his emotions got the better of him. He seemed petulant and childish speaking over Klopp and stopping him from finishing his answers.

    I think it's difficult for teams who've played in Europe to get themselves ready for the League a few days later, especially in this tight packed fixture list. In all seriousness, the one solution would've been, get the League Cup out the way before Christmas, therefore it'll make things easier in the New Year

    Opinion: The refs solhould also be Interviewed after the match and they should be asked about the decisions they make.
    This feels that the refs are getting away with bad decisions they make and players and managers are the ones to be victimised

      Honestly, I rate this. Make them watch back the decisions they made and pick it apart. Clearly the current referee training format isn't working too well.

      or mic up the refs so the audience can hear the decision and rationale behind it in the match as they do in Rugby. If the refs can explain to the audience their decision, there will be less moaning

      I also feel the communication between VAR and the on field referee is poor. When they go to the monitor the context of the situation is seemingly never shown to the ref and there have been several instances ive seen where reviewing it with a lack of context (as well as some angles which actually better showed the incident) would have helped make a more informed decision but were not shown.

    I think the main issue here really comes down to the fact that both the interviewer and Klopp were correct, both were well within the rights to have the comments they had and I think the interviewer is well within his rights to defend himself given Klopp's tone here. The broadcasters creating extra game slots are supporting the clubs/game via broadcasting fees etc whilst there are no fans. Klopp is also justified in having his stance on more frequent games etc. That being said, most managers wishing the 5 sub rule in wouldn't even use the 4th or more specifically the 5th sub frequent enough to have any real factor in this argument, but the injuries/fatigue issue is definitely a valid one given the shorter season.
