I can still hear her screams in my dreams and I am 52 years old. This story broke my heart. I cannot imagine how anyone could do that to a child especially since she had already been through getting burnt herself. She had no love for her own baby 😢.

Cynthia is not innocent! They always forget to tell this part of Gabby's story! Cynthia wasn't taking care of Gabby either. Gabby's autopsy showed that every tooth in Gabby's head was rottened out because Cynthia never took her to the dentist. She had gum disease at 4! She wasn't potty trained while living with Cynthia either at 4 years old. Cynthia lied in court for Candace and Brad claiming she didn't see any burns or injuries on Gabbys body the day she died. But that was a lie because autopsy photos showed burns, bruises and cuts all over Gabby's body. Cynthia knew they were BOTH abusive, on drugs and constantly in trouble with the law when she sent Gabby to live with them. Cynthia was accused of lying to the police about performing CPR on Gabby too. Also instead of calling 911 for Gabby, Cynthia drove 30 mins to the scene and then after assessing the situation she tells Candace to call 911. Cynthia is not innocent!

As someone who works in pediatrics healthcare, it’s really sad to admit child abuse is more common than it should be. Not that every child is abused, but at least once a week we have to report signs of child abuse we see at their regular doctor appointments. Neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse, it’s all heart breaking and far too common for how horrific it is.

I didn't care that it was the wee hours of the morning and I knew my mom would understand when I called her crying, feeling awful for some of the thoughts I was having...just so desperate for some quiet and more than 20 minutes of sleep af a time. I understand not everyone has family or friends they can reach out to, but there's help lines, support groups, etc.
And if a person doesn't want their kid, period, why keep legal custody of it? Why wouldn't the couple in this situation just sign over the rights for that little girl, let the adoptive mom adopt the granddaughter? Or simply enroll her in school but still keep her at grandma's? Grandma could drop the kid off and pick her up, whatever, there were ways to make it work. The poor little girl and her grandma who loved her....

@@bridflower5408 it has to do with legal guardianship. But if Grandmother had Gabby all her life, she could have asked for full custody. She chose not to and I can't figure out why.
But a child doesn't "need" to be enrolled in school until age 7. Preschool and kindergarten are not requirements by any state that I know of and up until recently (2022?) Parents still had to PAY for preschool. It's free now, atleast in our state. Not sure if that is nationwide. But it only covers a half day and if you WANT full day, then you are still required to pay for that. But again, since school is not a requirement until age 7, any schooling you WANT for your child would not be covered by the state if for example the family was collecting government assistance. Childcare (at a daycare) would only be partially paid for if both parents were working. So I can't imagine this would be incentive to keep Gabby. This just really puzzles me.

I feel like a few people contributed to her death. If the police had kept the dirtbag Brad in jail over the guns and the DV call none of this would’ve happened this way. Also I thought this about her ex/ Gabby’s bio dad but it’s hard to say why he was absent from Gabby’s life but he is like about 75% of deadbeat dads who couldn’t care less about their kids because of their own selfish decisions. Also the neighbors didn’t even call the police when they clearly knew that Candace was being horrifically abused and while she was pregnant with Zoe. Had the neighbors anonymously reported the abuse it could’ve saved Gabby from being abused at all because she’d have been kept by the grandmother likely. There have been many people who could’ve prevented this horrific and diabolical murder and the abuse that lead up to. It’s just the most diabolically insane thing I’ve ever seen and can only imagine that Gabby is now dancing to “let it go” with the angels and she is pain free and her “caregivers” are rotting in prison for now. 30 years is less than most murderers who simply pulled a trigger and shit someone get- they should’ve been locked away for a life sentence then they should’ve dusted off the good ol electric chair just for both of them, imo.

I have 3 granddaughters a set of twins that are 4 years old and 1 (part of another set of twins) 5 years old (11 months older)
They giggle so much (all 6 laugh a ton)

I had an enormous gash on my forehead which required several stitches, very obvious looking, and neither the doctors office nor my kindergarten thought anything of it and easily bought the excuse my parents gave of it being a simple blameless accident. No one got me out of there where I was also being battered and abused by my mom and oldest sister.

He saw the same things that I've seen in you all this time. Your empathy for children and animals. Your passion for justice and your no-nonsense attitude (sassy Danielle) when it comes to people's depravity. Today's case was truly heart-breaking. My husband and I have three children between us, and crimes of this nature get us totally riled up. Thank you for always paying tribute to the innocent victims at the end of your videos. How anyone can torture anyone is beyond me, but a child especially... our grandaughters stay every other weekend, their 6 and 7...the 7yr old sleeps heavily and doesnt wake if she needs a wee like most of us do (shes been checked by drs etc). It is what it is... So she wears pull ups for bed. Last night we forgot to put one on her, as we were busy playing board games , it got late... She ended up wetting the bed and just came down, telling us. We washed and changed her, then the bed. I cant imagine for a second, even making her feel bad about it, let alone punishing her for it. Id feel horrible, if she didnt feel secure enough to just tell us, she had an accident..id feel like a monster if she was scared to tell us. What does anyone get from doing that? Power kick? But to me that shows how weak you are, if you feel power by attacking anyone with no defence against you. It baffles me.

I’m guessing parents yell at children far too often when they have accidents.
I was at the store one time when my 3 year old had an accident. As I walked him to the bathroom I kept reassuring him that it was ok, accidents happen, and that it was no big deal. I’d get him cleaned up and he’ll be ok. A lady walking out of the bathroom stopped me to tell me she thought I was a really good mom and the amount of people she’s over heard scolding and/or yelling at their kids for peeing on them selves was more common. It shocked me.
I’ve never yelled at my kids for their accidents and didn’t think it was all that common. My heart hurts for those who have been punished for it. 😢

Just to tell you that you are amazing grandparents! How refreshing to read it - your reaction is respectful and loving hence your granddaughter will never hesitate to ask you for help.
I work with kids & you won’t believe how many of them are panicking when an accident happens (weather it’s peeing their pants, breaking something and so on). It truly tells a lot about how situations like this are treated at home and it always saddens me when I have to reassure these little ones that it’s okay.
      So thank you!

She also has been checked out by the Dr and there’s no reason except her mom also had the same issue. My granddaughter sleeps hard and so did her mom. if we put her to bed around 9 she does good. Or if we wake her at 11 she does well. Either way her parents nor us shame her. She will outgrow it just like my daughter did.

State workers such as cys cps case workers need to be held legally responsible when cases like this happen. Maybe then, they will take their job more seriously & do everything in their power to help or save these children. If a judge or caseworker etc looks at a case like this,& sees without a doubt the child is 💯 better where they are vs going to their "real" parents & something then happens to said child, they should be held just as responsible as the monsters who committed the vile acts. I've been a true crime junkie since before the internet, I grew up on unsolved mysteries 😂 & 9 times out of 10 the children die while in the FKED up system! 🤬
I've heard this one before but hearing it again feels like the very 1st time. The anguish I feel inside thinking about what that little girl felt. I'm washing dishes & I turned the water on as hot as it goes,& we have out water tank turned the whole way up, so I'm talking HOT.... & the pain it caused is nothing compared to this. I'm going to do some digging because I need to know what prison they are in, especially the egg donor🙄 my stepson is a prison guard in a bad prison, trust me, the ones who deserve it the most, get their karma inside😉

Even here in Canada, you don't legally have to send your children to school until they are 7. The law also allows any type of homeschooling. Preschool is privatized and parents pay to send their kids. It's also completely optional. Kindergarten is included in the school system but again is optional although it is definitely the norm to send children to Kindergarten.
