Thank you, Doga Kobo(the people who did the animation), for doing Oshi no ko justice. Istg if they didn't i would be pissed as the manga was peak. Also, the starry eyes are only visible to us, the readers/fans. If you knew the author for Oshi no ko then you would be even more shocked. (Its Aka Akasaka, he was also the person who was the author of Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War so you wouldn't believe he wrote something this traumatizing.)

If you haven't already you should read "Ib: Instant Bullet" by Aka Akasaka, it's different from Kaguya-sama because it isn't happy happy but it's heavy, pulls on your heartstrings. You should give it a try

It is definitely anime of the year material. it was soo unexpected The first episode was amazing they really baited us making it seem Ai is the main character i wonder how the story progresses in the other episodes maybe because i just wanna see Aqua take revenge.
Oshi No Ko is deff one of the anime of the year. It really hit hard like I want to eat your pancreas type shet but this was just even more sad Ai was soo pure and didn't deserve this.I cried my eyes out as well that sudden change as she got stabbed just piano music mad either even more sad the star in her eyes going away and just seeing a corpse made it hit soo hard. Her saying I love you and realising that it wasn't a lie mad me soo depressed but happy at the same time, man bitter sweet things just idk how to describe it
Also How the hell did the author went from making wholesome romcom like kaguya sama, then proceeded to make something like this. This guy is built different definitely up there with the greats.

I wasn't expecting to cry after only watching a character for an hour and a half, but the animation, writing and voice acting by Rie Takahashi just makes the character come to life in the most amazing, but heart-breaking way.

I haven't felt this way about a anime in a long time ending just pissed me off
I like how even when Ai was dying she was still trying to protect her kids as much as she could from the situation. She purposefully stayed between Aqua and the killer until he left. She barricaded the door with her body so Ruby couldn't come in and see her. Aqua was already in the room so she holds him as close as she can so he can't see as much.

The thing about Aqua being a doctor is that his body is also 4-5 years old. And the apartment is new so there is likely no first aid kit, or if there is, then it would be placed somewhere high in order to be inaccessible to children. Moreover, Ai’s body is currently leaning against the door, preventing it from being opened and there is no way Aqua’s body has enough strength to place sufficient pressure on the wound, let alone open the door to run for a med kit. But lastly, Aqua at this point has not practiced medicine in 4 years *and* is clearly traumatised in literally being soaked in Ai’s own blood so he’s very much not thinking straight. But damn is that tragic

an additional bit of speculation - regardless of actual religious belief, maybe ai would have been fated to die at the hands of a stalker, and the reincarnation of these two into twins was the will of the gods.
