I loved all the stories because they were about people standing up and refusing to quit on themselves. The woman who made so much progress really inspired me. I'm 64 and, largely due to your videos, just started running again. I had some knee pain so I'm going to use your knee strengthening videos to get out there pain free. No limits!

Hi, I am 'the woman' LOL. The day-to-day progress has been mindblowing. Some days I have even been brought to tease (of joy) at how far I have come in such a short space of time.

I'm 64, moving great thanks to your information and videos. I thought all the stories were great. Good examples of not buying into the doctor's narrative, poppycock!

Hi, I am Suzette. A little update. I am now able to go up and down stairs with absolute ease and not even a hint of pain. I've begun doing "shallow" squats and I have also started working on my balance. All of which were nearly impossible just a few weeks ago. After having constant pain pretty much every day for 7 years, I have not had any kind of knee or hip pain in several weeks. Every day I am more and more amazed at the things I can do again, after so many years of not being able to do much of anything. @Uprighthealth is a lifesaver. Forever grateful to you.

I was able to get my life thanks to @UprightHealth too. I had severely chronic back pain that caused my husband to quit work and be my full time carer back in 2020. A year ago I stumbled across the 'The worst thing for hip pain + hip strengthening exercises to do instead' video and the following day I woke up with no pain for the first time since 2020 and have been pretty much pain free since and now do Karate 4-5 times a week

@xyphrean3109 IKR, it is an overnight change. It was the same for me. 7 years of pain disappeared in one night. Rolled out of bed and just stood up and got on with my day. Usually, it would be, rolling to the edge of the bed, swinging my legs off, and then doing my best not to topple over while standing up. It's mind-blowing.

My knees are SO much better after just a couple of weeks of using your basic exercises practicing for a primal squat. My knees used to hurt daily. Now, rarely, even after significantly more daily activity. I’m going to keep it up!

This is so true. I’ve been a fitness and sports lover all my life and taught sport until a snowboarder hit me from behind at speed - my injury was misdiagnosed as ACL initially but ended up as a much worse diagnosis of the v rare and hard to fix posterolateral corner rupture/multi ligament on one knee and dislodged meniscus on other (bone on bone) The depression was massive, really hit me hard with no sport/driving for months on end loss of my tribe of sports buddies and work income too but after 4 ops inc osteotomy, internal brace repair,(failed) partial meniscus removal and pin and brace removal. I decided to make rehab my new sport for 2 hours every day as I just could not accept losing my passions, so I bought gym rings to hang from a tree to work on upper body, then hula hoops to learn for core and balance and a bit of fun. ice skating sadly caused a problem with too much lateral pressure so , now I do reformer pilates 2x week (love it) close to achieving full front splits, which I couldn’t even do as a kid but thought impossible ,indoor top rope climbing, cold water swimming all year, long dog walks, dance via CZcams fun free classes and drumming and although I’m gutted skiing is too risky, was my absolute passion ditto tennis I’ve just tried to embrace any new sport or challenge I can do and touch wood have zero pain despite the lateral movement still being there and it’s all down to strengthening every single muscle to support the knees and keep my whole body as balanced as I can to prevent future wear and tear. I’m 64 now but doing the horse stance. Asian squats and dead hangs etc are literally life saving and I love the message you give of hope to everyone. Never give up and believe the doom stories about aging, you just need to increase your range of movement inc strength training and flexibility and most important of all do things you love like dance or anything that feels good to you personally and its also the best anti depressant on the market. Please believe this amazing guy, everything he says is so true don’t let people tell you ageing is about accepting you will become less mobile and it’s normal, it really doesn’t have to be that way. I’m grateful for every movement I still have and don’t want to ever lose it again - so sorry for banging on far too long but I don’t want people to listen to their friends or surgeon telling them to take it easy, it doesn’t work and above all find your passion by experimenting first until you find the one for you.

People with normal weight need to perform high-impact exercises (running, jump roping, box jumping) regularly to keep their knees strong. People with excessive weight or have been sedentary for years need to lose excessive weight first, but eventually they need to start loading their knees. However, the current recommendation by physical therapists or personal trainers is perform only low-impact exercises, which do not make your knees strong and keep them usable for your healthy life. I am 54 years old. I hurt my right knee at age 35. Resting did not cure my knee pain. It actually caused additional ankle pain. So, I re-started running again, at slower speed. It cured my knee pain. Now, at age 54, I run 5km twice a week, tuck jump, jump rope, box jump, jump kick (Kung-Fu), swim, bike, do Les Mills Body Pump, Body Attack, Body Combat, CrossFit, yoga.

Been doing several of the videos trying to get flexibility back in hips and legs and have noticed less pain in hips and knees after just 3 weeks. Hopefully I will be able to sit CCA again doing those exercises too. Luckily, I guess, I’m allergic to opioids… thanks for the videos with the great information.

69 with broken Tibia. I have 3 more no weight on leg. I try to keep my knee moving doing air exercises. I have a stiff knee and can bend to only 90 degrees. Do I just work through it? PT starts 4/14

"Old" is anything approximately 10 years older or more than the person making the judgment. "Young" is anything 10 years less than the person making the judgment.
e.g. A ten year old thinks 22 is really old. A 60 year old thinks 75 is old. A 55 year old thinks 35 is young. etc. 😆

I have lost the fat pad on balls of feet. I walk a lot. I have no problem walking downhill or flat. Incline and steps cause severe leg pain from toes to hip. Forget jumping what exercises are best.

I'm 61, in decent shape (I walk 7k-9k daily), but my knees can hurt a lot going up and down steps, but not always! I can slow run a few miles, no worries on knee pain then. So why do steps hurt (sometimes) when running (slowly) does not?
