  • The plaintiffs loaned the defendant money to help rent a wedding venue because the defendant was marrying a family friend who they think of as their son. They claim the defendant ran off the money and hasn’t paid them back, so they’re suing. The defendant argues her now-ex-husband stole the money, and she’s suing him to get it back.

How small of a person would you have to be to ask somebody who is not even related to you to pay for your wedding gown and your wedding venue? I grew up being taught that if you didn't have the money for something then you went without it. Or you saved up for it. Everybody has to have instant gratification these days they have to have it right now. So let's just put ourselves or others in debt because we just have to have something right now and something that we can't afford

    Beyond the stupidity of don’t plan a wedding you can’t afford; especially when it takes 3 loans, a gifted $1300 dress and still can’t afford the venue. It was obvious the plantiff went after Bailey because one they don’t like her, and two; she has source of income and three she’s the one who left.
    Shiloh clearly lied the entire way or the plaintiffs were trying to paint themselves as victims taken advantage of.
    Bailey had proof her ex had taken all the wedding money and they were pretending she was lying.
    But man, think of your piece of evidence that will prove your case and it costs you the case, because they thought it was her admission to accepting the loan.
    And yes, I totally believe she did insult her; she just probably thought it was low enough that Bailey wouldn’t have heard her muttered insult.

    • @averagebear007
      @averagebear007 Před 19 dny +3

      They're both responsible if in fact the defendant was also a part of the initial phone call as the plaintiff claimed. But the defendant said she wasn't part of it, that it all went through Shy and he's the one who gave her the information and therefore the permission (as HE had been given authority by the plaintiff) to pay for the venue. I tend to think that the judge felt it was unfair they were going after only the defendant for the full amount especially when the plaintiff kept shaking her head even as she heard the judgment from the divorce court Judge, that SHY had actually run off with the money and not the other way around as he claimed to the plaintiffs. So he had money they could pursue from him too, but they showed they just didn't want to because they clearly favor him. Which is irritating. So I think the judge latched on to any piece of proof that could conceivably show that the defendant was telling the truth, that she was not part of the initial phone call, and let her off the hook so the plaintiffs can go after con man Shy instead.

To me we can't speak on the groom as yes he didn't appear, and I guess legally they should be suing him, instead of the bride/defendant, but I doubt they will even do that as the plaintiff's are adamant he's indisposed/they can't have the gall to pressure him like that so idk.
