He’s an insanely talented actor. The fact that he can also kill it at comedy is a revelation to me. His lines are funny but they’re somehow another level funnier bc it’s him delivering it.

Tom plays the (probably) most sympathetic and empathic kidnapper and potential killer.
He even apologized to the waiter, he kicked and then ordered pies for everybody (on the house). What a great guy.
I wouldn’t mind if he kidnapped me…

This movie is one of the most underrated comedies I've ever seen
This was such a fun movie. Full of comedy and action. It's like MI on crack. This scene alone had so much comidic gold in it. TC is actually a brilliant comidic actor.

Tom's talent and versatility in acting is SO underrated by the public nowadays, it seems like people are too eager to either undermine his skill or only talk about his personal life. this man has practically done every genre of movie and character, and knocked each one out of the park; especially and surprisingly comedy included. absolutely one in a million.

This scene from beginning to end is so funny. This movie got such a bad rap from the critics when it came out. It's comedic, action-packed, and fast-paced. I think Cruise and Diaz were great in their roles.

@@danielc1978 this is one of my favorite movies. Sure, it's not deep, but i think it is just supposed to be a fun action comedy with a bit of romance movie. I also don't get why the critics at the time hated it. I rewatch it from time to time and it does make me laugh and at least entertain me for a couple of hours, which is a lot more than most of the movies made these days can do.
I don’t listen to the traditional critics. I listen to The People.

He really does have great comedic timing. He is also an all around very good actor. It’s his off screen persona and relationship with Scientology that I’m a little creeped out by.
He also comes off as possibly bipolar. He’s either strangely energetic (think Oprah show) and generous, or easily provoked, and intimidatingly and solemnly intense. He doesn’t appear to have much of a middle ground.
And, I blame Mimi Rogers for getting him involved with Scientology when he was so young and impressionable.
