I ran into the same problem with the hood hinges. Cut the hinge mount the exact same as you did trying to clear the heater box 😂😂. I did ended up widening hinge flange on the top where it mounts to hood. Then off set the hinge farther out to clear the heater. The hood structure needed a bit of modification to clear the hinge spring since the hinge is farther out and it hits when you close the hood. I have to refine mine still but saves $600 lol.

Hey dude easiest thing just do is what the super duty had. put the hood struts on it no 600 hinges. You lifted the hood so it's not that heavy.
