I’ve been thoroughly soundboarded.

Gave me a momentary snake of fire up and down my spine...

80's acid ❤️🔥
80's dead 🔥🔥🔥
70s acid, every year dead.
Disney characters were big. Then Snoopy as Joe Cool. The blotter perf's were big. 5/2/81 I got fooled into taking 2 x 4-way's as they were sub perf'ed but that was hard to notice & as a 4 way was as big as the previous singles. Highest I've ever been at a show (that I can remember lol). Still didn't think the post drums was anything to write home about lmfao.
@@deancaron988acid and all hallucinogens open doors to the unseen realm where unclean spirits loom. It’s smart to avoid them, otherwise you risk losing your own eternal soul. Shalom, friend.
Another fun time here! Id like to havve a couple squares of this right now myself.😅
amazing thumbnail/pic my friend :)
Super Groovy! I was just rocking Boston Garden '74 last night, how cool to see this upload, thanks!
Strange audio at the beginning of Chinacat, great show tho'.
Love the art, the jacket Jerry is wearing in this original picture is one of my favirites too.... Rock On!!!✌
RIP Bill Walton. NBA legend and lifelong Dead fan 💜
Fare thee well Mr Bill!!

What a hot show! Stranger is off the charts- the vocal back and forth leading up to the jam are intense. Althea is super delicately sung, every syllable! Thanks WOS for loading one of the hottest shows from one of the hottest months and years in GD History!
I've listened to dozens and dozens of these concerts from WOS and a few other collections. No bad ones of course.
Often, my favorite is the one I'm listening to at the time. Songs repeat from concert, and year to year , but never the same.
I've really grooved on the late 60s / early 70s concerts, have come to appreciate the later 80 and beyond as well.
But the 13 concerts I attended were between 77 and 82. I wasn't at this particular one, but the feel of this period really stirs up a lot of really fond, friendly familiar ghosts.
Lucky to be a dead fan, other bands don't have these fantastic options.
Keep the sun and avoid the ships of fools all.
Thanks for this Sir Its you and the Band at their MOST MAGNIFICENT
Fuck me Jerry was on FIRE!!! ⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
Wow here's an epic He's Gone jam I wasn't quite aware of - thanks!!! Always been a fan of 11/9/79 & 12/1/79 (was lucky enuff to have been at those 2) & of course 5/6/81 (had to miss due to Finals week ugh), this one gets going w/Caution right outta the gate then some subtle Nobody's Fault riffs towards the end/cool down (that was a Yuge jam theme during the May 81 tour). This might have been the 1st space -> Saint as a standalone. Perhaps had to cut the Sailor due to curfew issues, notorious at Mass venues?
My fav of the May 80 tour has always been Hartford 5/10 - the pre drums 2nd set is just about the best run of songs / transitions / jams ever. Sure wish there was a sbd of that one that wasn't marred by the Idiots throwing M-80's in the rear that buzzkill all the aud tapes.
I saw Baltimore, Penn State, & the 3 Nassau Col shows that tour. Was the end of my Sophomore year, Age 19.
Love their short lived punk days
Awesome!! Thank you!
Stranger is so fucking cool.
More kickdrums!!
Is this a well-known show? It's really good.
This and the Nassau shows were the best of the tour. Several songs peaked in this run, Stranger,,the Alabama-Promised coupling, Althea were especially strong at these shows
@@deweygill1973 My personal fav of this tour has always been Hartford 5/10/80. For the transitions & EPIC jams (open ended Stranger into Comes A Time into Estimated into He's Gone into Monster Jam into Uncle John's into unfinished UJB jam).
@@sideshowbob Yup. Another great one. Forgot about that one. Wasn’t able to make it, got a tape later
@@deweygill1973 Wish there was a sbd of that one where you couldn't hear the idiots throwing M-80's in the back
1:42:00 My favorite dead jam of all time. Only save this one for the rarest of occasions
Check out 11/9/79 & 12/1/79, & of course 5/6/81. In fact, on the fall 79 tour, every He's Gone had a crazy jam after it - I've sat & listened to them all in chronological order starting in late Oct & they all seem to lead up to the Masterpiece that is 11/9/79, where they put all the pieces together.
Thx for highlighting this, that was RAD!

Who’s on pedal steel in the beginning of Alabama Getaway???
Just see the guy w/ the rainbow shades
Jerry's guitar in Althea is just rude sounding at times LOL...I like it! a little more snarl on that night.
