I just accidentally ran into this channel a week ago or so, am stunned you aint got several million views mate because this is some of the most amazing kayak video stuff I've ever seen mate. Probably too old of a video for this comment to be seen, but keep up your amazing life style! It is very inspiring.
Just found it myself and thought the EXACT same thing.
Same here...been downing his content...loving this channel
Thanks Tomas. Oh, I trawl through and see what people are saying. Go well mate
@@BeauMiles 2 years later and I’m having the same experience. Just incredible stuff here.
Same
Years later, I still sometimes watch this series when I’m sad or need to be inspired. Cheers beau
couldn't be more true
10:30 OH NO! Beau, these episodes are PURE GOLD. You are the best find since my girlfriend. I really, truly cherish every second of your adventures and the work that went into the videos, capturing the essence. I am fortunate enough to enjoy in many of these activities and the fact that I can relate to ALL OF IT, just makes the experience feel so much more close to heart!
Australian coastlines are seriously the best. You could just watch the waves roll in for hours.
I know...we have an awful lot of it too.
how is it possible that this account only has 81.4k subscribers. really incredible story telling in this videos. a lot of lessons to be learned and taken from. thanks for making videos I've really really enjoyed watching them.
Ta, Tinpan. Great name btw
Episode 4 is out Sunday! If you have any questions about the crossings please leave a comment below.
just 3 days to go :-DDDD oh wait...
Hi Beau.. Why the sails? Would you recommend using a sail?
What was the hardest part of this crossing for you and the expedition?
And keep up this amazing work! This IS Netflix quality I’d pay to watch. 👍
Damn The ending of the video, perfect way to end it to make you want more
Just found your channel, awesome videos. How good is getting out there and exploring !
Just seen your comment and discovered your channel; congratulations on catching giants. Also you got yourself a new subscriber
I love sea kayaks, they're so beautiful. And you guys are the true kayak kings. It's amazing to take a 4 day or more kayak/Camp trip. Me and my 3 buddies have 14ft solo skiffs. I fish in marathon Florida, in the keys, the flats and Backcountry. But 4 times a year, we do 4 camp/fish trips. We meet up in our trucks and always pick a different island to camp out on. Loading your vessel with your add-ons, electronics, accessories, etc. We all have motors and a small bow trolling motor. But packing my one man tent, water, food, emergency supplies always on board. Lithium batteries for charging, cell phones, my drone, go pro, and extra usb's I've installed. And yes sometimes we paddle. The Paddle is always on board. But a skiff moves, pretty smooth through water, most of the time. Well we all enjoy the ocean our different ways.. Stay safe my friends. 🙏 🌊 🛶
doing crossings with friends is the best
Bloody amazing...but a cliffhanger...the dishes can wait.
Sunderland shirt out of nowhere!
Yes I’m an avid Sunderland Fan (my hometown) Would love to know the significance of it, where it’s come from and why he’s warring it’s. Not much to shout about on the pitch at the moment but keep up the great work Beau...loving your channel. Cliff (England)
@@clifflowther9056 I think I saw him in a Newcastle pullover in another vid as well. I'd like to know why too. (Blades fan living in Newcastle)
@@YorkshireD1 he actually answers the question further down in older comments... his ex girlfriend’s mother was a sunderland fan and bought the top for him...apparently he gets a lot of comments (good and bad lol) about that shirt... he loves it though 👍...
@@clifflowther9056 yes thanks bud. I commented before I looked properly. 😉
@@YorkshireD1 I did exactly the same lol
Absolutely awesome! Can't wait for next instalment!
Fantastic so far. Glad you created the garden amenities and hammer. Great on you!
Hi Beau,
Great movie. Love watching your stuff. You tel it like it is. Gives me inspiration to do more myself.
This man is in his centre. He's living it.
Discovering this channel had made my week

Excellent episode. Thank you

Beautiful film making. Love it mate.
Kitty litter bird baths always do the trick haha great series man!
Great to see your subs are increasing mate, you deserve a lot more and I’m sure you will get them. Your content is absolutely fascinating. I’m spending a lot of the time sat holding my 3 month old son at the moment and your vids are great for when he’s sleeping. Love your content
Respect!!!!! Greetings from bavaria
"Beau is 7 feet tall. I’ve heard Beau kills roadside rubbish by the hundreds, and if he were here he’d consume the beans and pasta with fireballs from his eyes and bolts of lightning from his arse."
Amazing story telling
very nice ! Super cool kayak touring video ! Thanks ^^
Awesome guys 👏
I totally thought there was going to be a smile and a giving of a vegemite sandwich. Im veggie and still never tried it.
What a week for the caretakers. New faces, and some guy that can't stand to waste his time to complete their list that never ends.
Love you, love your videos.. but is that a Sunderland training jacket
Making lines. I like that.
Mate your inspirational, big high 5 to you, i enjoy your videos cheers.
Awesome, thank you for having big balls and having a go
What an ending!
Thanks, Hey.
Just stumbled across your channel and I love it! Really interesting and enjoyable. The production is top notch. Bravo !👏
Great video mate. It makes me feel normal to hear your views on exploration. I've soloed a few explorations and agree with being in your head for most of it. Would be nice to be on a group expedition. But also would be interesting to feel how it would be with 4 others wi th you
Ta for the note, Exlpore.
Larger adventures have mostly been solo for me too, and the inner head space feels cleansing, an opportunity to work thoughts out. That being said I love the idea of sharing adventures too. Love these videos Beau!!
Australia is producing amazing people, god damn.
Awesome
I'm hurt as a Geordie by the Sunderland training shirt, but I'll put it aside for the great content
Hahaha
nice
thanks for coming to st Paul's
Best channel on CZcams
Yesh a broken kayak on an island is a pickle
I Did not expect to see a Sunderland Shirt
Wuuhuu new episode (Y) =))))
vegimite bit was great! lol
Sunderland fan mate?
What’s the story with the Sunderland jersey then???! Unusual choice for an Aussie
Man, that jersey gets as many questions as having half a left leg! Indeed, I dated a great Pontefract girl for many years and her mum- who is a diehard Sunderland fan, gave it to me. I too, and now a fan because of the connection...Real nice running shirt
I was gonna ask the same thing!
Great to see you are now a Sunderland fan Beau....we have a great deal in common keep up the great channel...superb work. Cliff (Sunderland)
I've never thought about the fact that you can of course get sea sick in a kayak, what a nightmare it must be. Not being able to move your legs and stretch so you think about something else...
You're not going across are you? Yeah. AH Shit!
We call it a bucket bath with a sailor wash.. Minnesota USA
I don't want the instalments to come to an end.
I really want to see an extensive review on those sails......
Subscribing your channel,
With 💕 Love

Your preparation and thoughts behind your food and water rationing. What kinds of food? Calorie intake etc? Land water sources?
I'm pretty basic now-a-days and can eat cous cous for weeks at a time (breakfast and dinner, spruced up with chilli, pepper and Parmesan) with a tin of chilli con-carne for lunch), . Matt was a bit more gourmet, Dan in the middle somewhere and Craig and Paul ate food from Mars (in vac sacs). All pretty rudimentary, topped up with local fish.
Time is all whe have got make use of it waiting is not the wort your time enjoy yourself is the only ting important
Hi Beau, what cameras did you use and how many batteries did you take or how were they charged ? Where do you stow the drone ?
Love the vids
Cheers
Excuse me if this has been asked before. What software are you using to animate your course on the chart?
Vegemite - ‘local produce’ hilarious... that stuff's like sump oil compared to Marmite. Lived in WA for 7 years but still couldn't eat the yellow mite after all that time !
Marmite is not much better my friend!!😁😁 As a Scandinavian I prefer Peanutbutter!!
Have any "Makin' Lines" merch for sale?
Really interesting to see you plan and execute your travels. Was curious as to what kind of encounters do you have with whales or fish. Me being scared of sharks, this would cripple me to try and do. Being around One if the biggest concentration of great whites would make me crap my pants
No whales or sharks on this one. THey are typcially always there, but you often don't see the full spectrum of life around you, with blinkers on, looking forward. And after a while a shadow or particular chunk of water movement looks like anything and everything, so you soon loose trust in what you're. (My Gray Whale encounter in South Africa only happened because someone else also witnessed it- otherwise, I was simply seeing something that looked like a whale!)
Still pretty amazing. I was in a jet ski going around the Cape in Florida and saw Manatees in the mangroves that freaked me out
Did you guys sleep out in open water? And if so, how?
Love the series and the channel, but as a Newcastle fan very disappointed to see Beau with a Sunderland shirt on! 3:37
I'll cop that Simon. Goodonya, mate.
Haha FTM
Oi why you wearing a Sunderland shirt you Mackem. Give me a bell i want to know ya ginger beauty. Chris Hall - Sunderland Black Cats - Haway the lads!
Wilfred "I Tapped Dat Ass" Kensington Newcastle ain’t going down now pal
Of all the places I expect to see a Sunderland FC shirt, here is not one of them
Huh it kinda looks like backcountry camping but with actual dangerous weather
Nooo not sunderland 😔
Hahaha
Vegemite is like Marmite except tastes terrible :)
You don’t eat vegemite straight out of the jar 😆
I don't have a shed... I'm a weak man 9:14
Anyone know the song at 10:17 ? I searched for 30 minutes trying to find it but couldnt
I want to do this
Wondering why you decided to do this as multiple episodes instead of a feature like Trials or Africa by kayak?
I'm trying to tap into people on their phones...on the train, park bench, illegally watching whilst stuck in traffic, that kinda thing. Chunkable watching. We used to have 'movie night' in Australia, so a sense of anticipation seems like a blast from the past.
Beau Miles Episodes- I would usually let them all come out then watch them all in one hit! I'm still a big fan of movie nights.
Like Marmite but better!
Indeed, Mr. Olsen. Black gold
Peanutbutter>Nutella>Marmite!😉😉
7:13 Duuuude, you did something wrong.
Needed to vass up around the waist! Water pooling and evaporating with sweat. Stinggyyy
I would love to meat the five people who disliked this video and ask why? Why would you dislike and undislikeable human
how is there dislikes on this?!? Haha
Mate I was liking this series, then out of nowhere I saw the Sunderland top. Poor form mate
There are two types of people in the world. Ones that wear Macpac and the ones that wear Kathmandu. Generally Macpac wearers are real anventurers ;)
just when I was starting to like you I see your wearing a sunderland top
Beau you're a great guy and I'm really enjoying your videos, but is THAT a Sunderland top you've got on?? EW!
Best,
Joe (from Newcastle, UK).
Love the video but the Sunderland shirt, what are you thinking man!?
I call sponge baths a whores bath
I'm sorry but vegemite is just wrong. It's not even a patch on marmite (the Real stuff), its only about half as strong so tastes pretty weak aswel having a strange none beefy flavour that we've become accustomed to expecting so was just a disappointment to be honest. I'm guessing ausies swear by it being better than marmite because they've either grown up with it so it's really familiar to them, or, they know nothing about the superior quality of the good stuff so are simply unaware of the peasantry of vegemite, I mean there's no other acceptable reasons as to why anyone would even suggest something so ridiculous and even imply that marmite doesn't whoop vegemites arse. I felt like this needed to be explained properly once and for all by a man who, let's be honest, just Knows about these things! 🤣
Ok? Ok! I'm glad we talked about this, and, you're welcome. Cheers to all.
God bless 👍🏻.
For not believing in god you seem to embody spirit well , I didn’t either until I did .
