The world needs more guys like Beau. I want to be just like him. Especially his attitude towards life
I feel the same and the thing to think is what's stopping us
Don’t be like him, be like you mate. You are you and that’s unique.
@@stewartjmurray love this reply brother. Be you, but at the same time make sure you’re exploring all of the beauty this world has to offer. Cheers
That transition from the drone shot, to the railway track POV then to Beau was great.
I died laughing when you said "A whole bunch of weirdos on this train but I've got a knife, and a gun on me." I'm just starting this series but I look forward to watching it! Great content, I subbed.
Thanks, Woogles. Cool name BTW. Goodone!
This guy is the personification of the saying "attitude is everything." He is indefatigable. We need more people like this in the world.
Indefatigable,i guess i learned a new word.
Dan, “I’ve never seen a star fish before, being in Australia I don’t want to touch it, as it’ll probably kill me” 👍🏻😂 thing is mate, you’re a Brit, the UK has no end of star fishes too 😂
"The nice part about training is when you can share it, too. Or maybe I'm starting to reach the end of my expeditions, where I'm just by myself. The meaningless sort of resonates way too much when your by yourself and you just wanna share it... you know"
Damn Beau, these words really hit me hard. As cliche as it is, balance is key. Many great lessons in traversing alone but I think fundamentally we as humans aren't designed to do it all alone
I'm getting a visa and I'm taking a class with this man.
Did you?
Efficiency Not yet! They closed Australia...
@@samwithplayground I hear it opens up at 8AM...
FMD this is how we are ment to live the life we are given wow🙌🙌💯💯💯
Cheers, Sam. Sadly, the Outdoor Ed course no longer exists. Some good ones elsewhere will have to do mate.
Ive been an expedition kayaker for over 20 years. Ive done some big trips. This is the best series on expedition kayaking I have ever seen. It captures the spirit and feel of a long trip better than I have ever seen. Good job!
These videos are awsome and super high quality idk how you haven’t blown up yet
I think it's likely because the YT algorithm hugely favors people who upload frequent, lower quality videos. Someone who uploads 300+ videos a year will make YT infinitely more ad revenue. It's unfortunate.
Saw your presentation at Monash Friday night. Awesome work.
Sharing your video with a few people to rustle up enthusiasm to do such a crossing!
It was this series that sparked the interest in both CZcams and kayaking, its so good.
Five minutes in and I'm still thinking about that transition at 1:00 from paddock to train to ocean. Wow!
Love discovering some of your older content Beau! Such an inspiriation hoping I can start capturing stories like yourself! Look forwards to the rest of the series!
you are such an inspiration to me. I have lived my life hampered by restrictions, some of the mental health related but i watch these videos and see all you achieve and it gives me the thirst to make something of my time. So thank you so much for sharing them. I hope one day that i attain the goals i have in life.
Until now i was sceptical if i wanted a kayak but no car now that i see that you just go into trains with it i don't care anymore. Thank you for taking away that "fear".
He is one of those good youtuber..which hv more views than subscriber..u can tell its a quality and beautiful content when this happen
Enjoyed the whole series with my kids. Thank-you.
why has youtube just recommended this channel to everyone? I'm not complaining though ive subscribed
Cause it's freaking slow to catch on.
I had to search for kayak videos to find these videos, it didn't recommend it to me.
I’m watching this series for the second time I love it! I was really stoked when I was browsing Amazon Prime and noticed it was on there for viewing too 👌
This is incredible. So well produced
I really enjoyed the series, what an amazing adventure! I sure hope your friend Tim is still kicking butt... Thanks for the all the inspiration, Beau.
Some part of me wants Beau's channel to blow off, some part not, just like when you find an awesome restaurant but don't want to share it with anyone in fear of waiting lines. But well, there are no such things on CZcams!
I almost finish watching all of your videos and trying to prolong it further because of I am afraid that there will be nothing more to watch until next month (?). But Beau's videos are worth a rewatch anytime. Thank you Beau's parents and environment for raising such a great man! Thank you Beau for sharing your wonderful moments with us!
Awesome videos, always hanging out for another. Very inspiring.
Just stumbled upon this on Facebook. This guy embraces it! Such a zest for life. I'd love to have a paddle with him. I'll be watching attentively from now on, best of luck lads :-)
I wish that would be a way to give this masterpiece more than one like. Beau, what a fantastic movie and what a treat to watch it!!!
Revisiting all your films whilst on lockdown in the UK, great viewing, will get me through it. Thanks Beau!
No way Dan taught me at Plas Y brenin. What a great and hilarious dude!
Beautiful..i dont know what else to say..its just beautiful
This guy is the real deal. I reckon I love the videos.
You mention 'I bet no one else has ever...' in a few of your videos, is this something you strive for, what I bet no one else has ever stuff do you have planned? As ever great content 👍🏻
Don’t know if this is on netflix, but the quality and narritive are so much better than documentaries I’ve seen there. Impressive.
Seriously mate, love your work! Inspirational. I'm a fair weather kayaker and get numb legs and behind - makes me feel better that a legend like yourself has the same issue! Keep up the great work.
I watched a few videos by Beau and this one is the best by far. Great job!
In Danish, the Bass Strait is called Bassstrædet with 3x s in a row.
Ur videos are quite impressive , all u do! Many of us can’t , for sure I will be killed within 10 miles of an expedition like urs . But I can try other things , thank u for all u do and the encouragement u give us .
Cheers, Dirk. I'm not so sure- I reckon you'd be just fine heading off doing something, anything, that has an essence of adventure and planning. Goodonya. Best
Just finished this ep, going to watch the rest now- a lovely video and great watch! :)
Like a good series drama i can't wait to watch the next episode. All power to you and your arms Beau.
Ta, Macolgan. For the most part I enjoyed making the series. Goodonya!
Always amazing videos and adventures. Big fan of your work. Always wish you the best, keep it up.
Great starting from the pier.
Absolutely inspirational. I can't believe It took me this long to discover. Many thanks for sharing.
Nice to have you watching, Paul. Good one!
Friken Aces Beau. Always love your vids, every time. Thanks for capturing and sharing this and inspiring me again.
Thanks for sharing mate. Just starting adventure paddling, always did river races
this is simply amazing and very inspiring! Love it!
Zo, krijg altijd direct weer zin als ik dit weer eens zie
this guy is the modern indiana jones
That's exactly what I'm going for, Sam. Dr Miles, I presume!
Except that was a movie in the 80s that's pretty modern. But until I see this guy get chased by a rock in a south American tomb I'll call him just another aussie
Any chance Beau you could bottle your mindset and sell it...
@@carolineslattery2745 I think that's what these videos are; little bits of Beau all bottled up.
Great story ,great men
Out here re watching videos because your on another level!!
Just come across this Beau, pretty cool stuff, gotta love the ocean in a human propelled craft, can't beat it.
2:47 good job dude 👍👍🍻
Love it Beau.
I like it's project!
Only just found your channel. Love the attitude and the content 👍👍
I'm new to your channel, but I'm glued...bring it on! (I waited until I was in my 60s to get a kayak. I wasn't strong enough to get it on the roof of my car so I got an inflatable. I'm a fair-weather kayaker, and love it. I feel like a dolphin, or one of those flying fish, whatever, it's the freedom, the achievement of making it happen..
Loved the video mate 🍻👍
It’s impossible to get the image of the kayak on the train out of my head.... so it’s going in my script, and it’s going on stage in August. I dare the audience to question whether a kayak on public transport makes sense. 😂😂😂
Love what ya doing mate! Am going to kayak the murray river this coming year.. have no bloody idea how to kayak but i am sure i will learn.. great stuff with the videos!! 👍 👌 🇦🇺
Thanks, Codey. The Murray will push you in the right direction! Big hat, lotsa zinc, slugs of long water and wide shirts- gold.
I once drove around the north island of New Zealand with some friends and I too used a old jar to hold leftover pasta for lunch one day :P love your channel mate, amazing stuff
This is cool.
Love the spags rugby top. That must be from 96/97.
I haven't even finished watching yet, but man, great content, great content
8:58 starfish made me lol
I’m
About to get into kayaking finally...
I love these videos this is awesome content
Ta, Dylan, mate.
Sandy kiosk, lovely area, good coffee
I found you through suggested videos. First your videos are fun to watch. You got some great shots and have some great editing ideas for me to learn. I just made a CZcams channel so I’m definitely doing my research. Thanks for all your help. - Keep it up! Just subbed!
Wow your pretty amazing I just moved to Phillip island from NewZealand and it’s beautiful
One minute thirty seconds in and crying with laughter....."there's weirdo's on this train".....reminds me of a train journey home once with my longbow , axe and knife like an extra from LOTR.....funny that nobody talked to me !
Pretty awesome.. -TRS-Records
Great inspiration, but think i'll just watch the video mate. I had my epic journey from Tidal River to Oberon bay. I'm an office worker now...
Real good videos 🎥
You're a very talented filmmaker, dude. You have a way of presenting that is extremely pleasant and personable. Thank you for sharing. :)
Thanks for the kind words. Pleasure
Hilary and Mallory reference is awesome
One time, I was on the light rail in Seattle, heading to the airport. Two people got on at a stop near downtown. Each of them had a large pack and a kayak. I’m not from Seattle, so I presumed that it was normal.
Cracking film mate, love to have a few pints with you if you are ever in Ireland.
Hello man! I watched your video that you kayaked across Africa. Congratulations on the adventure. Could you pass me the specs of your disassembling yellow kayak? A big hug!
Hi mate, great series loved it. I have the same
Issue with dead mega, what did you do to fix it. It annoys the hell out of me.
7:01 "I gotta fix them before I push off... Yeah that's probably a lie, I'm going regardless."
big ups for the stpauls top
it's official. you're my favourite youtuber.
Every university should require professors like this, not ones that have never accomplished anything tangible.
Hello from Brazil!!!
Nice video.
what kayak is the yellow one?
May God watch over you and keep you always
Great video! What kayak does he use?
Nice
You should come to Canada. Plenty of awesome canoe trips you can do up here
Are your courses available online? BTW Amazing stuff on your channel, keep going!
This series is fucking awesome.
8:47 Don't worry Dan, that's a Northern Pacific Sea Star, a horrible invasive species! Harmless to pick up and throw above the high tide mark or in a bin!
you should try the Greenland paddle
Hi Beau love the movies man, How did Tim get on with his treatment?
Beau, any particular reason you all paddle kayaks with a rudder?? Here in northern Europe we are mostly inspired by the British tradition an we paddle kayaks with a skeg. I have one of each. I must admit I prefer the ruddet!!!
Hey mate, have you ever done the paddle to Fraser Island?
It takes an Incredibly fit person to consider sunburn more dangerous than crossing bass strait in a kayak
Hi ! At the bigening of your video , you are wearing a green bush hat . What is the company that make those ? Thankyou
Hello Mr. Miles, I wonder if is this your Ph.D Dissertation? would you like to make a video about your journey about how you get your titles. Thank you for always bringing us a very great story with an amazing documentaries! sorry for my bad english
How does this only have 80k views?
7:43 Dan, Looking for Love
Crazy Typ👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
2:49 At first, I thought he was planning to land himself in the kayak.
Real life Indiana Jones....prof during the week and insane adventurer during the weekends
4:56 down at sandy yacht club right? I've done a bit of canoeing in that general area
Nice little spot, aye, James
