- In this week’s Sunday Sitdown, Ina Garten opens up to Willie Geist about how her life has changed during the coronavirus pandemic ahead of the release of her latest cookbook, “Modern Comfort Food.” During the interview, they’re joined by Garten’s husband, Jeffrey, and Willie’s wife, Christina, to share cocktails and discuss what it’s like to spend all day with their spouses. “I think, as somebody said, good marriages have gotten better during the pandemic, and bad marriages have gotten worse,” the Barefoot Contessa says.

I think this year has really gotten to me at this point and listening to Ina and watching her like I used to do just made me so nostalgic for a different time. I love her cookbooks, and her recipes are perfection if loaded with butterfat and sugar. They always amaze. Ina when alone does takeout and doesn’t cook for herself?
Ina - “I do take out” (a la “How easy is that?”, and it is easy in the Hamptons).
Martha - stands in front of a table laden with twenty boxes of homemade takeout (“The PURRfect way to have takeout at home.”)
Nigella- cooks voluptuously and kindly for herself at all hours with a silky bathrobe, a glass of wine and an Elizabeth David book. (“I LOVE pottering about the kitchen. It relaxes me.”)
