- Ina Garten joins TODAY to share simple ways to make your dinner table stand out at the next party you throw. Garten says dinner parties don’t have to be large and you can have just four people, adding that all you need is one nice set of plates and cutlery and keep centerpieces simple with a bowl of lemons or small flower arrangements. “I like when people arrive and there’s music playing,” Garten adds.

You know, if you don't have time to give a guest the respect they deserve, then just don't invite him or her in the first place. This segment was rushed, anxiety-inducing for Ina and her fans, and just generally done in poor taste.

Agree.. these broads are crazy! Slow down and let your guest speak.. i cant stand to watch this kind of stuff, its super stressful to see two people talking over one other... you wonder if they read these comments?!? I couldnt even finish watching it!
Not to be mean, but how does Hoda Kotbe not know how to set a table? She kept asking which flatware goes on the right or the left, and then placed the spoon next to the plate, with the knife next to it! Okay, maybe she grew up never having to set the table at home, and maybe she's wealthy enough that she doesn't have to ever do it on her own. But she must go to a reasonable amount of up(per) scale restaurants, wouldn't she notice how they place the silverware?!

Love Ina, but I would never buy a ton of lemons at the GROCERY STORE to make that bowlful of lemons! 😱 Too expensive! I would only do that if I had a tree in my yard! She looks so short and elf-like next to these two tall (?) “Amazons”! 😂 Good tip about having music. It’s relaxing and silence in the home is awkward when you have guests.
